DO NOT TURN ON TURBO MODE I REPEAT DO NOT TURN ON TURBO MODE!!! Click to place planets in orbit around the star (don't place the planet ON the star because it will disintegrate) Press the button at the bottom to show a list of the current planets This took like 15 minutes to code, because I reused a few scripts from one of my previous projects. Mostly some simple maths, it's not rocket science. This is a test for StarForge's planet and orbit placement system. The zoom slider is broken. I'm trying to fix it, (currently hidden for now. See inside to enable it) Bugs: There's a problem with the zoom slider There's also an issue with the planet cloning system. When you place a planet in orbit the original sprite is supposed to be hidden while the clone is shown. This works the first time but the second time you place a planet in orbit both the original sprite AND the clone creates a clone of itself Repeat this enough and you're gonna hit Scratch's 300 clone limit while the planet counter (usually hidden) keeps growing and growing to the thousands and millions while there are only 300 existing clones [PATCHED!!!] I used the pen extension to draw orbits but using the zoom slider messes up the orbital paths (if you repeatedly slide it you might get a flower pattern lol)
By @Perfect_Abyss If this turns out well, I'm gonna plug it into the main StarForge project. If not, I'll make it better. ----------- Never in my life did I think I'd have to study trigonometry for a scratch project #orbits #space #orbitalmechanics #cosmos #stars #planets
