Their name is usually By, but that's a name that would totally suck to have and I've been meaning to change it, so this is their name now, at least for the purposes of this RP with @SophiAmazing32. BACKSTORY: Chicory was chilling in whatever universe they usually inhabit when an interdimensional portal opened beneath them, dropping them somewhere in the north part of Sumeru's desert in an alternate-universe Teyvat (from the video game Genshin Impact, for any random people reading this who don't know). I chose the desert because it's close to Fontaine, where our RP started, but it's part of Sumeru (I think), so their vision case can be the pretty Sumeru one. Chicory gained a cryo vision on their clothing when they landed in AU Teyvat. Chicory went to Fontaine because that was the nearest place that wasn't desert. They spent a while there, figuring out just what kind of a world this was and learning to use their vision. Eventually, they learn that there does exist a controlled interdimensional portal or a mage or something like that which they can use to get back to their original world, and it's located somewhere far out in the ocean, probably north of Inazuma. Chicory finds some travel partner (equivalent to Imtiaz finding Sophie as a travel partner), and the two travel towards Liyue to get a boat to go to the location of controlled interdimensional travel. Why does the travel partner want to go there? Who knows. That person doesn't even have to be a character, so I don't particularly care. While at a tavern in Sumeru City, which in this Teyvat is a giant spruce tree in a conifer forest in a cold climate, another interdimensional portal opens beneath Chicory and they fall into regular Teyvat in an equivalent tavern. They're pretty confused to have switched worlds again but this time be in a very similar place to where they last were. Is there a location of controlled interdimensional travel in this Teyvat? Depends how much lore we want to make up. :)
