-Turn your screen brightness like allllll the way up- Why do things the easy way when you can make things as hard for yourself as possible!! Seriously though, I really do love challenging myself, and pushing the limits of my comfort zone as much as possible (sometimes lol). I saw this and realllly wanted to do some cool perspective/foreshortening. I haven’t studied perspective really that much (or anatomy either for that matter), but I love the look of perspective so I used myself as a reference to find a nice pose and you know? It didn’t turn out too bad. Some of the anatomy is kinda off, but it’s alright. No piece will ever be completely perfect, so don’t be chasing after all imperfections :) I must say this did have an ugly phase haha, and I did consider giving up BUT YOU JUST GOTTA TRUST THE PROCESS the end result is so worth it!! Anyway! I’m quite happy with how it turned out and I think it looks very cool. Of course gotta give credit where credit is due, the reference was VERY cool and I am thrilled to have been able to participate (thank you for letting me have an extension TᗜT (and I finished RIGHT JUST before the deadline)) I think my first idea (not included) that had the shadow behind the main character would have been better, but ah well. I ended up cropping it as I think it looks better that way in general, but I did add the uncropped version as well just in case (some things read better with that version too). On a more personal note, I’m not sure how much I will be sharing art dumps/personal art or art that’s not in a contest or an AT. I’ve been wanting to just step back and let my art be the way it is without feeling like I have someone constantly looking over my shoulder. HOWEVER I do plan to be doing more contests and trades and such, so I will still be sharing some amount of art^^ (I do really enjoy making art for people and seeing their reaction (ᵔᗜᵔ)) School started up last week and I also have volleyball, so I’m more busy and would rather focus on things going on in my life than be figuring out what to post and putting it all together, which can be somewhat stressful for me. Thought I’d share with y’all my plans for the future here anyway. I might make a large art dump at the end of the year as well! And that is it! Hope you all have a lovely day!
