(everything below is JUST MY OPINION! im not targeting anybody im js annoyed at the design comm in general) (please read if you want to im js really pissed off) i came back after a year of scratch break and this community has gotten better in so many ways! the bonding, the art, the kindness :) that is, of course, excluding the aspect of feral and anthro adoptables which has genuinely deteriorated. bruh js something thats lwk been bugging me is like recently the design community (scratch art community) with like adopts and stuff is that nobody actually draws/uses their characters that they obtain like isn't that the whole purpose of having a character? like i get if you bought a design / paid for it then you can do whatever you want with it but still.. at least use it not just to like claim that it's yours and maybe be greedy to resell it / swap for something else like when i pay for designs i will actually use them, like drawing them, putting in animation memes, oc art (which is, imo, the point of getting a design) also like i noticed designs lately are just so "generic" WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ARTSTYLE BTW EVERYONE HAS A GREAT ARTSTYLE!!!! it's just designing that is kinda pmoing so like i noticed designs lately for otas especially are literally so generic which is fine but then they still ask for a lot like 1k da points or $50 worth of currency probably because ppl nowadays think a good design is just like 25+ accessories loaded onto the character. (example by me in project) and i honestly don't think there's anything super wrong with it, it's just now that kind of design has become "the standard" and if you make those kinds of designs there's really no way anyone likes (and will survive) to draw it (esp if you assign that kinda stuff to people who are making you pays/art) and that automatically makes you an "amazing designer" like WHAT??? son an amazing designer is innovative and creative, NOT putting overused sushi on a tail (IN MY OPINIONNNNN) also there are legit SO MANY REPETITIVE THEMES like if you're making an ota/adoptable you should make it at least kind of unique, not just a freaking something anyone can think of (examples(in general ofc): most food. omg. and drinks, just that kind of stuff that somehow sells for $50+) (IN MY OPINION) also it's just otas. if you're selling a design with basically no value/ free/ in a raffle that's really generic that's understandable. but no way you're selling a taiyaki generic japan larp adopt for very amazing art. larp larp larp BTW THIS IS JUST MY OPINION PLS DONT CANCEL ME
