Hey there, everyone! Etemon14 here! This is my entry for The "Mega Man: Return of Wily" Contest: Diver Man! (I am quite aware of how close his name to Dive Man is, lol. But if Shadow Man and Shade Man get that luxury, so should these two.) I didn't have time to color him, unfortunately, so If you're Cut Man, or just curious, you can go into the project to see the color coding I gave him! I'm also okay if some colors do change, if he does make it. So, without further ado, let me properly introduce... DWN-???: DIVER MAN Diver Man is a fast, aerodynamic underwater robot who was created to find wrecks, junk, and all manners of debris in the ocean he operates in. However, thanks to Dr. Wily, he's now a dangerous enemy to the Blue Bomber! Diver Man's weapon is the Harpoon Hook, which while does resemble a harpoon, acts more like a grappling hook that was originally used to grab smaller debris, but now is set to be used on Mega Man. Not only that, But Diver Man's hand (the one closed) contains a hole that shoots out water gathered from his water tanks on his back, though it was originally just a small amount since it, like the Harpoon Hook, was originally just a tool to clear and drag debris out. Diver Man is quite the easygoing, friendly character who loves to have conversations, observing fish and the sorts, and finding the occasional treasure- whether it be a priceless object or something he personally finds interesting to put in his collection.When it comes to his job, however, he tries to maintain a serious attitude and works as diligently as possible. Don't EVER try to ask if he's a fishing robot, though. He's been called that too many times for his tastes. I had a lot of fun designing this guy! He's quite obviously inspired by divers and mermen, but I also used elements from Bubble Man and Acid Man for him. This is just an honorable mention, but Depthmon from The Digimon Series was often on my mind while designing Diver Man. In fact, His original name was going to be Depth Man as a reference to that, but it didn't sound quite right to me. And as a bonus, if he did have a boss gimmick, he would mostly jump out of the water and launch his Harpoon Hook, or stay on the stage and try to attack Mega Man with the water streams from his hands.
