Song About Me — TV Girl February 17, 2016 ~ Facts ~ “Song About Me” appears on TV Girl’s 2016 album Who Really Cares, a project built around the band’s signature mix of sample‑driven indie pop, sardonic storytelling, and dreamy retro aesthetics. The song leans into themes of detachment, self‑image, and the performative nature of relationships, delivered through Brad Petering’s deadpan vocals and the album’s collage‑style production. Compared to their earlier work, Who Really Cares embraces a more polished, electronic feel while keeping the band’s ironic, bittersweet tone. “Song About Me” has become one of the standout tracks for its hypnotic groove and the way it captures the album’s blend of emotional distance and catchy, nostalgic charm.
