Chapter 8: War of vengeance "I will make nations bend and bow by my feet." The Sirrasan Republic, realizing their mistake scramble to reform their army, the soldiers they lost to the allied army in previous battle has severely weakened them. And after hearing news of soldiers of both Garde Mortis and Yophate soldiers heading straight to their capital, they must do something. Scouts have given information that the enemy is about ten thousand strong, along with three gun batteries. The current garrison on the capital is only four hundred Jazailchies and a thousand pikemen. Useless against bombardment from artillery. The invasion begins with artillery pounding the city walls for hours, until eventually it is broken. Yophate soldiers charged first, throwing grenades and shooting any Sirrasan soldiers, the Jazailchies were useless since they are awkward to use in close quarter combat. Yophate and Sirrasan soldiers using hand on hand combat and daggers while Garde Mortis troops use their Disruptor Bayonets like spears. And after ten hours of intense fighting, the Sirrasan surrendered. This victory is the start of the Yophate Dynasty's rise to becoming a great power. While the Garde Mortis continues to expand to the south, expanding it's influence. Horatio, after getting the Glacier tribe's shores set sail and went over to attack a Tsarist port, but failed after the Tsarist ships fired on them using giant coastal batteries the size of a gunboat, damaging two frigates. And as Beaubean's mounted infantry legion reached the lands of the Vampiric Commonwealth, he was accompanied by a hundred Sky Vampiric Lancers willing to join him reinforce Gausstavus' army. The king himself however stops his march, planning to join with Beaubean first before continuing the march. This gave the Tsar enough time to send his reformed army of seventeen thousand troops, however a blinding snowstorm covered their armies and separated them. The Karoliner fired upon with their batteries, breaking the lines even more. And when the lines finally get within range of each other's weapons, the Tsarist lines were already damaged and made them weak, they fired the second the Karoliners were in range, they didn't fire back and continue advancing. Then, when they could see their optics, when the Tsarist troops are still reloading. The Karoliner fired one devastating volley and charged with Disruptor Bayonets and shock cavalry, routing the Tsarist army. This is a decisive victory against the Tsardom, as two thousand troops became casualties, compared with the thirty Karoliners. The Tsar then sends his last horse archers to try and disrupt the Karoliner, but they're just not good enough and only results in more horse archers getting killed. The Eastern Dynasty ravaged trough the archipelago, crushing any local kingdom in their way. However, they encountered a beast, armed with plasma cannons for arms, standing strong with six arms and three legs. It has seven eyes. One center, three on each side. Without wasting time, a shard of the Empress is summoned, a giant yellow goddess figure with two purple daggers, the beast tries it's best to blast the Empress, but the Empress, in her molten form easily absorbs the attacks and with one swift attack, she sweeps in and destroys the beast, killing it instantly. Horatio returns to their waters once the Glacier tribes starts harassing thier sailors and marines from a distance. But they keep patrolling their shores, bombarding any city near the coast. The Glacier tribe can't do anything and with the Tsar's Navy refusing to help, things are back into Nelson's favor. Ney Mortier expands his colony further south, expanding his influence over the scorching desert where his weapon's effectiveness are doubled as the Yophate Dynasty starts to reverse engineer the Sirrasan Plasma Jazails, trying to make their own, better version of the weapon for their own weapon while some tried to turn them into full on cannons, nobody can make one without it overheating and exploding. Ney Mortier then ends the expedition, returning to his mainland. Already spreading his influence over the desert filled continent. And tho tiny indigenous tribes exist, most of thier soldiers decide to join his foreign legion, their territory however stays somewhat independent since they have thier own government, culture and people. While any tribes who stands in the Emperor's way will be erased off the map. Beaubean's mounted infantry legion marched as towards the main Karoliner army with their new vampiric lancer allies, if this happens, Gausstavus will be unstoppable. Nelson looks at the Empress' shard in his hand, given to him by the Palace Guards. The only person ever to have the Empress' shard other than the Palace Guards, given by them as a tribute. Since both Lord Nelson and the Empress were very close, and when the Empress was shattered by the Tsarist, her shards are kept for the Guards, except for that one given to Lord Nelson.
