“Ever Wonder?” A short Alterhuman pmv by me: Comma, Canary, C. Ever wonder how we feel? /“Ever Wonder?” is a short series of doodles featuring C’s four (4) Kintypes. In it, C experiences a shift, represented by the glowing orange sketches; and dysphoria, represented by the blue scribbles./ Ever wonder how it feels? /C is beneath a starlit night sky with no moon in sight. Clawr posture makes it seem as though C may have been running./ Ever wonder why we shift? /C experiences first a shift, followed by immense dysphoria of all her Kintypes, then both at once. After this, claw proceeds to feel that dysphoria ‘type by ‘type, before finally settling back into a shift./ Ever wonder what we are? /C is wearing the mask of a fox, which is one of her Linktypes, not a Kintype. Claw does not experience a shift nor dysphoria for clawr fox ‘type, seemingly content with it only being a link./ Ever wonder who we are? /C’s physical body, along with the background, is the only thing that does not change. Her spirit is shifting and changing, but clawr form remains the same. She is looking down at her gloved hands, tired./ Ever wonder what we see? /In front of C is brilliant starlight, and while there is some behind her, the stars in front of claw are more, and stronger. She is facing towards those bright stars, as though claw was trying to reach their source when she fell./ Ever wonder how we feel? /C’s short experience is how many of us Alterhumans feel, what we experience on a daily basis. Many of us suffer from invisible dysphoria, shifts, and/or impostor syndrome. Many of us cannot accurately describe our experiences to others. This pmv is there to give those like us hope and affirmation, knowledge that we are not alone./ Stay safe, stay wild, stay you.
