The final station for now in Batch 1, the MyNetworkTV affiliate of Gotham City, WJLX-TV! Affiliation History: Independent (1984-1995) UPN (1995-2006) MyNetworkTV (2006-present; O&O since network's launch) Ownership History: Ocean Cities Broadcasting (1984-1992) Weigel Broadcasting (1992-2001) Fox Television Stations (2001-present) History: WJLX-TV launched on July 20, 1984. It was initially owned by Ocean Cities Broadcasting, a company that primarily owned television stations in islands or coastal cities. WJLX-TV was the exception. It launched as an independent station and at first, struggled to compete with longer established WUAA and WFFG-TV. Especially with WUAA's superstation status and WFFG-TV later becoming a Fox affiliate. WJLX-TV would gain an initial boost after WUAA lost its superstation status in 1989, picking up select programming dropped by WUAA around that time. Weigel Broadcasting, parent company of WCIU in Chicago purchased WJLX-TV in 1992 as a way to expand its foothold in the East Coast. On January 16, 1995, WJLX-TV became a launch affiliate of the United Paramount Network. Months later in May of 1995, WJLX-TV began using "The X" as a secondary moniker, inspired by that of WCIU-TV's on-air branding, "The U". WJLX-TV would pick up Fox Kids programming on July 1, 1995 as WWGC-TV chose not add Fox Kids shows during its switch to Fox due to New World stations wanting to have a news programming-lean. In 2001, Weigel Broadcasting would sell WJLX-TV to Fox Television Stations, with it becoming a sister station to Fox O&O WWGC-TV. Fox Kids and its successor blocks FoxBox would air Saturday mornings on WJLX-TV until 2003, when programming moved to WWGC-TV. On September 5, 2006, WJLX-TV became an O&O affiliate of the newly launched MyNetworkTV, dropping "The X" as a secondary moniker. And using "My60" as its on-air branding for all material. The station would introduce its mascot, C More in 2012, the same year that other MyNetworkTV O&Os begin using similar "C More" mascots. WJLX-TV would drop the "My60" branding and adopted "X60" in 2018, as part of Fox's effort to rebrand its MyNetworkTV O&Os to have branding separate from the network. C More was also dropped as a mascot around this time.
