The G.S.S has sent several fortified freighters carrying some of their best tech and weaponry, along with other aiding cargo to assist the Bastion Federation. However the Hegemony of Kragg sfter managing to track one of the trojan starships set up a trap after ease dropping on Cobalt comms. First they send a drone to distract and bait the trojan into following it and station an interdictor to intercept the freighters once the come within range. The drone leads the trojan starship to the freighters and once the it arrives the interdictor immediately leaves to avoid infection. Profusion then infects the freighters and they continue on their original trajectory to the Bastion Federation, making quick stops along the way to secretly infect anything else along the way. The freighters attempted to transmit a distress signal but their comms were sabotaged, leaving the Bastion Federation unaware of the contaminated package...
