ꮽ᤻ ᐯAᒪᐯIA :: chapter 0.1 mimi ︶ mimi watched her co-workers sighing and yawning. One of them was checking their wristwatch while the other one was playing with their fingers. Today was one of her vocal recording days, she was an artist who was loved by thousands of people. Her songs would be loved & cherished by her fans sincerely. And this time she wanted to give her fans something more special than she did before. A song that could make everyone feel something or anything, hopefully. That's why she asked for help from her other artist friends. They volunteered, for sure. But now, mimi could see how her friends started regretting their life choices. They started recording the song at 7 A.M. and now it was 1 P.M. Usually, she'd record her songs way quicker than now. But this time, something didn't sat right. She didn't feel like she was doing any good. She changed the song itself several times since she started recording but still, that didn't feel right. She took a deep breath and got ready to try one more time. But one of her friends stopped her: "C'mon mimi, we all need a break." mimi looked around her and saw it: All of her friends had that weary expression on their faces. She knew they were tired but she felt like 'one more recording' and everything would sit right. Now, she understood, finally, it won't work out. Everyone, including her, was really tired and without a break; contiuning would be meaningless. "Okay, then." She nodded as put away her headphones. "Let's take a break." Her friends slowly, with a huge relief, started standing up from their seats. Still, mimi had no plan to rest. So she walked to the desk where all the recordings got checked up. One of her friends stopped her attempt on working by shutting down the laptop they stop her: "mimi, you need a break too. Just go and take a walk or drink something. One hour later, everyone will be here. All recharged to work on your song." mimi reluctantly accepted her fate and took her handbag from the desk before walking out to the sunny day of Tokyo. She wasn't sure what to do exactly: her plan for today was just record her song and get home to sleep. mimi started walking with her calm steps to Tokyo Square, which wasn't any far from her recording studio. She just thought about a little walk or maybe grab something to drink. When she finally arrived to her destination, she kind of started regretting coming here: Tokyo Square, for sure, was really crowded at this hour. She sighed as shaking her head. Why would she even come here, knowing it would be too hectic & hot? mimi held onto her bag tightly as her legs speed up. She just saw her favorite place for cold drinks a few meters away. Her steps carried her lazily towards there but suddenly, the hectic Tokyo Square fell silent. With a confused face, mimi looks around: There was no one. The noisy crowd, the one that was just right here, just disappeared. mimi's shock grew more by time, as she realizes that it wasn't a dream. It was just a weird reality. She didn't even know how to react. Her legs panicked, running around but her mind was totally blank. It was like someone ate the crowd and burned it. She quickly remembered about her phone; taking it out of her bag and checking it. But just a few moments later, mimi realized her phone could help with nothing now. There was literally no connection, she couldn't even make a basic call. After a while of overthinking and running around, she sat down on the street floor. It was all so confusing that she couldn't even figure out what she should do. mimi just waited, until the sun disappeared. When there were no traces from the previous daylight, one of the huge ad screen lit up with a white light. She quickly looked up there, standing up. The white screen had remained the same for a while but then, some words appeared on it: "Welcome to 1st game. Please follow the arrows around the city to get to the play ground." mimi's confusion just grew. She waited for something new to appear but nothing changed. Just a few arrows around the city kept shining: The arrows were showing only one direction. Some of the arrows were on the floor, while some of them kept blinking to mimi from traffic lamps. For a few minutes, she hesitated. But she made up her mind quickly because there were nothing much to do. mimi just started following the direction of arrows. After guiding her for hundreds meters, the arrows vanished. There were just an old, huge apartment in front of mimi. Again, there wasn't that much options so she obeyed the screen in front of the entrance. When she opened the front door, the screen was still shining. "Welcome to the playground. Come in to play the game." CREDITS: ⌒ Photo : Not mine. From Google. ⌒ Heavily Inspired from Alice In Borderland ⌒ Other Things :
