Sorrelstep and Snoweater have a long and complicated history. I can't give too much away without some pretty serious spoilers, but both of them hold a lot of regret for how things devolved both amongst their own relationship and how it impacted their corresponding clans. By the time forgiveness comes, it's far to late to repair what is broken, but there's a silent understanding between them.
