You see, I am a HUGE fan of making music and I thought it would be cool to create a Scratch version of one of the most important components of music creation - the metronome! This is a cool little project were you can get exact metronome counts for your given BPM (beats per-minute for the people who don't know what that means) and time signature (BPM x1 [common time], x-1 [half time], and x2 [double time]). There is also a list of previously used BPMs with their time signatures and who used them, so if you are struggling to choose a BPM and time signature, then you can see what others chose and try them out for yourself! Genre Assistance: - Pop - 100 - 130 BPM CT - Rock/Metal - 110 - 140 BPM CT - Hip-Hop/Rap (Modern) - 60 - 75 BPM CT - Hip-Hop/Rap (Old-school) - 80 - 95 BPM CT - R&B/Soul - 60 - 110 BPM CT - Dance - 115 - 130 BPM CT - Electronic/Techno/Dubstep/D&B - 120 - 180 BPM It is more professional and helpful to set the BPM to twice the common time (just multiply the BPM by 2) or set the time signature to double time. It helps you by giving you freedom from using decimals and giving you a wider range of BPMs.
