MAA-5400 "Lodestar" AEWC&C ------------------------------------------- Airborne Early Warning Command and Control Aircraft The MAA-5400 "Lodestar" is an Airborne Early Warning Command and Control aircraft built by Magnansk Armouries' Aerospace Division, used by most major global powers. Current Variants: - AF-C/C (Air Force - Command/Control) - AF-EW (Air Force - Electronic Warfare) Defensive Armament (Factory Base Variant): - 520x Chaff/Flare countermeasures - Electronic Countermeasures Array (ECMA) Additional Features: - EW Suite - Modular Mobile Command Post Propulsion Systems: - 4 Solsitium SES4500-400C turbofan engines, each outputting roughly 50k pounds of thrust, bringing a combined thrust of roughly 200k pounds of thrust Resulting in a top speed of 965 km/h, or about Mach 0.88. Top Speed (Clear conditions with no crosswinds): ~ 520 Knots (965 km/h) Cruise Speed: ~ 450 Knots (~830 km/h) Total Crew: - 1 Pilot - 1 First Officer - 1 Navigator - 25 or more specialists - 28+ Total Crew The MAA-5400 “Lodestar” was designed to serve as the eyes, ears, and command center in the sky for any air force it flies for. Rather than functioning solely as an airborne radar platform, the Lodestar was built around the concept of a mobile airborne headquarters, capable of coordinating entire battlespaces while remaining highly mobile and difficult to neutralize. The aircraft replaces the aging E-7 Wedgetail fleet with a significantly larger and more capable platform, combining long-range surveillance, battle management, electronic warfare, and command-and-control capabilities into a single airframe. Its large internal mission compartment allows specialists to operate as a fully integrated command staff, processing information from friendly aircraft, ground forces, naval units, satellites, and other sensors. Airborne Command & Control The Lodestar's primary purpose is to establish a centralized picture of the battlespace and distribute it to friendly forces. * Large-scale aerial surveillance and tracking * Real-time battle management * Multi-domain communications * Integrated target identification and prioritization * Modular airborne command-post systems * Coordination of aircraft and other military assets The aircraft can effectively function as a command center with wings, allowing commanders to continue directing operations even when conventional ground-based facilities are unavailable or compromised. Electronic Warfare & Survivability The Lodestar is equipped with an extensive electronic warfare suite intended to protect both itself and the forces operating around it. Its Electronic Countermeasures Array (ECMA) can interfere with hostile tracking and targeting systems, while its onboard EW suite provides additional electronic surveillance and countermeasure capabilities. The aircraft also carries 520 chaff and flare countermeasure units, giving it multiple layers of protection against incoming threats. Variants AF-C/C — Command & Control The primary AEW&C configuration, optimized for battle management, surveillance, communications, and airborne command operations. AF-EW — Electronic Warfare A specialized configuration focused on electronic warfare, signal exploitation, interference, and battlefield electronic support. Performance Powered by four Solsitium Electric SES5400-400C turbofans, the Lodestar produces approximately 200,000 lbf of combined thrust. Despite its size and extensive equipment, it can reach approximately 965 km/h (Mach 0.88), allowing it to rapidly reposition across large operational areas. The Lodestar is not intended to fight on the front line. It is intended to make sure everyone else knows where the front line is.
holy crap my first top-down art???? now that i look at it ts kinda ahh :wilted_rose: Fed Up - Hocico Unit flyaway cost: $550M – $750M Fully equipped operational package: $750M – $1.1B+ EW Variant: $950M - $1.5B (dem advanced EW systems aint cheap man inflation is getting wild)
