~chapter 4~ ------------------------ I don't move. I don't even breath. I hear the floor boards creek under the weight of whoever is behind me. after a moment I turn my head just barely. 'Matthew Wollows' i fight the urge to recoil at the sight of him. Matthew is a football player, and when his older brother was caption of the team before he dropped out. that makes Matthew extremely popular. "Please, don't stop on my behalf." he says, motioning for me to continue. this boy is the biggest player of the school and I don't mean sports player. I exhale and drift into a slow, steady song I learned in 8th grade. its the type of thing you would dance to at a ball. what caught me off guard was when there was suddenly a piano added to the soundtrack. my hand faults at the sudden sound and I turn to see Matthew at the piano, his eyes locked on me. 'i didn't know he could play.' the bell rings and we stop at the same time. I hurry to put my violin away, but he remains settled. I can feel his eyes burning right through me. like one wrong move and he will know my every though and then burn through them as well. but that's impossible. right? "you should get out of here. you don't wanna be late to class." I say as I open the door. he doesn't move. I don't care. I don't have time to doll around for him. closing the door, I turn down the hall. its quiet. just as I think 'too quite' I hear foot steps racing towards me. I turn just in time to see Matthew shove me against the wall. "I forgot to tell you," he's breathing heavily but his eyes are intense. "we should go out sometime. just us." I narrow my eyes and I'm about to shove him off me. but then I notice something that I should have seen before. long before. his eyes. they are a deep red. just. like. mine.
oh yeah. its out. quote of the chapter that I thought of wile writing this "why have a ball room with no balls?!" ---------------------- that's all...
