PLS READ DESC AND LISTEN TO WHOLE THING Song Backstory: This melody was originally born from Harmony of the River, a third-grade solo piano piece I made. A very uncreative title to me, since my synesthesia had brought up an Interstellar sort of quality, dark and rich blue. I didn't remember it until my fingers brought it up from muscle memory. And then it turned into this. I'm planning to enter the contest. ..I don't like the title. For me, it will always be Harmony of the River. Anyway! I don't know how to classify this song. Like it sounds like something that could go in a movie, but I can't think of anything else. Oh well. I hope y'all like it! Should I enter this in the contest? Oh! Another thing! If I'm entering: It carries a memory from 4th grade, lying on the grass during an eclipse. The moon moved so agonizingly slow, letting me escape the chatter around me. Back then, I was a loud, blunt kid who struggled to make friends. I wished someone would just give me a list of my flaws so I could fix them. But watching that eclipse, I realized the world was bigger than my classroom. I realized I would grow up. There is no bigger accomplishment than looking back and knowing your younger self would be proud of who you are today. Finally, this one's for you. I don't know where you are, if we'll ever talk again, or if you even remember me. But happy birthday. See? I remembered. You aren't just a great musician, you're an amazing friend. I'm really gonna miss band with you.
