It looked better in my head... ANYWAY I'm still super proud of this the timing was so bad cause midoffs 4 just started and sneznaya came out but I was able to finish yay :D I love Stella and Artemis so much, Artemis more though cause his story he's so relatable AHHH I love him sm though the art doesn't show it help I didn't realize he was smaller than Stella but I'm too lazy plus I draw him second and I had given up a tiny bit (which is why he doesn't have feet or hands) Ok yap time over here's the process 1. Sketchh uhm ignore artemis trust the process (I don't) 2. Idk what I was doing 4 minute atrocious art (anyone recognize this or is it just me) 3. Rose, drew it bigger to get details why does it actually look good 4. was supposed to be lineart but I made Stella bigger cause the rose just got basically deleted when I shrunk it, since I'm lazy I just colored in the flowers and used layers to figure out how it would look instead of a line mess 5. Actual lineart 6. base colors yay, I used a dark red background so i wouldn't draw outside of the lines and not notice, I originally had it brighter but that hurt my eyes lol 7. Uhh I think I added some shadows 8. Flowers yay, I was originally going to do a black rose but a google search told me they're usually really dark colors and then I remembered about blue roses and since I'm lazy I just did a dark blue rose 9. Eyes, why do I have a new way of doing eyes every time I draw sigh. I wanted to make her seem king of done with life so I used more gray-ish shades for the shadow and no highlights 10. I did hair but didn't screenshot, you can see it better later, I think I added a shadow on the dress 11. Tears, nose, and mouth, I spent too long on the tears cause I changed the color from a kind of blue to close to her skin color cause thats how water works apparently idk bro I just use references, help I can't see that crying girl black and white side drawing thing without thinking of 9_g (why am I saying this no one on scratch probably even knows about 9_g) 12. Idk if i did anything here or if I just remembered to screenshot the hair, I really need a new way of doing this but it's either this or nothing soo 13. Colored the lineart 14. Realized that Stella's hair actually pink, it looks bad cause I made it pink on the base color but did nothing on the main hair detail cause I'm lazy and had finished Stella in my head, but Artemis is here and he has ears cause I forgot them on Stella and didn't feel like adding them 15. Changed the sketch and there's grass now, I didn't want to draw feet and since he's a ghost here I decided to just make that part transparent 16. I did lineart but forgor to screenshot it so uhh base colors 17. Hair even though you can barely notice 18. Face, pretty the same as Stella but he has some hilights I guess 19. Some lights and shadows 20. Colored the lineart 21. Random stone for Artemis's grave 22. Bushes that I genuinly used the flying bush from cat quest for sob Idk why but I did it during school for some art thing, also made Artemis somewhat transparent 23. Sky, originally did the stars myself but I gave up and used a brush 24. This was the final but It looks so much darker on scratch 25. Actual final :) I spent 7 hours 44 minutes on here but probably 1-3 hours of that is just me not drawing and getting distracted on my computer watching somethibg or just having it open while looking up references or something (help why does artemis look bald when you zoom out) And that's it, I'm definantly drawing more of them and also Rayne and Elizabeth but I'm going to do that later cause I need a break, I need to improve, I keep telling myself I'll draw mari cause last time I did it was terrible and I want to draw yi xi.
