A quick note on ZENITH (while you wait for it to load?): ZENITH 3D renderer is only a small part of the coming "ZENITH 3D engine", which will include many more features like custom code, and collisions. The mesh you see is 99,379 triangles. For reference, that's more than the number of SECONDS in a day. ZENITH reads a special file type called .glb (binary gltf), this file contains all of the information needed to load the world (including textures* and animations). the textures are stored in the glb as a png (a type of image file), and the renderer parses both during startup. Since scratch has a VERY low limit on the project .json (this means that lists can't be too big), we store all this data in images (as binary). each image is then shown on the screen, scanned and then loaded on to the list. this is why the "scanning world data" stage takes so long. the number of images to scan is roughly 1.8 k, and the total project size is 700mb. *textures are the individual images on each triangle. If you want to try turn them off, go to: tri data -> toggles -> textures: 0 the map is from sketchfab: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/berk-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-wii-ef602c6ef80343ae85d6a8a36f4d235f ___________________________________________________ changelog: Mon 16 sept 2026 — fixed a bug where the project might . stop loading data if fps is too low Mon 16 sept 2026 — ZENITH now loads in the . background for some browsers. . .
