Um, I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but, last week, something really bad happened. Everything I feared came to light. My team's dead. My country is falling apart. The world is falling apart. Sora is coming closer to its goal every day. And I'm sitting here, in this hospital bed, regretting every single decision I've made for the past few months. Vossium was supposed to protect, but it's tearing the world it was supposed to protect apart. It's kind of ironic. But, what happened last week, what the media is telling everyone, that's not the true story. Dr. Halvick, he, he wasn't working for Sora. This wasn't a coordinated attack from Sora. It was more of a coup. But, not a bad one. I'll just explain the story. Last week, uh, we were wrapping up. We were wrapping up everything in the days of work that the Pacific Standard and my Oniwari team were doing on Vossium. We were researching the electromagnetic pulses. It was supposed to just go well, and the day was ending. We were supposed to go to our rooms and go to bed. Sinclair made a surprise visit. We went in private, me and him, because the Pacific Standard didn't know that we were using their research to make the Vossium Corp soldiers. That was messed up. Me and him were talking about it, and how the Vossium Corp soldiers were almost done, and how we've already created four prototype suits, and now the suits can be manufactured for the 50 soldiers and General Kane. Little did we know that Dr. Halvick was listening in on it, everything, the whole conversation. We didn't know. Maybe nothing would even have changed if we did know. But I, I went back to my cabin, and so did everyone else, and we were all sleeping. But about 30, maybe 15 minutes later, it's hard to count, the fire alarm was going off. It was a full evacuation of the building. My team, Oniwari, rushed in our research center to try and save as much work as we could. Even though it's all backed up on the cloud, we still try. But when we came in the research room, we found the Pacific Standards team and Dr. Halvick destroying the entire place. We yelled at him, I yelled at him, telling them to stop, and what were they doing. He said that he didn't want his research being used for war. I understood what he meant. I think my entire team understood it. But we were loyal to our country. We tried to stop him, but it was too late. I don't know how this next part happened, but the room with the Vossium in it started to glow a bright purple. From my earlier research in Vossium and my teams, we know that only meant one thing. It was overcharging, and it needed to explode. I ran into a staircase, like down the hall, and my team followed. Last I saw Dr. Halvick got the message and jumped out of a window, landing in the grass, I assume. But I got in the stairwell, and I looked back and saw my team running behind me. But it was too late. The explosion pretty much blinded me. I landed in the staircase, falling down as rubble fell on me. The entire building basically collapsed from where we were. I was safe, but pretty unconscious. Next thing I remember, I was being pulled out by firefighters in hazmat suits. God, I'll never forget them. They, they were so, anyway. Within minutes, I remember reawakening in the hospital. I was severely injured.
I think I had around 15 broken bones. But they told me my team was in critical condition. I rushed to their rooms, and I knew from looking at them that they were seriously injured, and they were gonna die without my help. With all the strength I could, I tried to save them. Now, the media told you all that they died. But my team didn't. They were burned to a crisp. No hair left on them. No skin, really, either. Some of their limbs were missing, and bones were just not in the right position. I had no clue if they were even radiation poisoned. We don't know. But I knew only one thing could save the four of them. The prototype suits. Luckily, they survived the blast and were in a nearby part of the hospital for storage, because they were found, and I told them to get the prototype suits. Within 30 minutes, I applied the neuro link and everything I could to them and put them inside the suits. They're alive. They're kept alive, but they can't leave the suits. If they leave at any point, they will die from their injuries. I regret it. I should have just let them die. It would have been mercy. But I didn't. I saw as that they were breathing properly inside the suits. I looked out the window into the hospital hallway and saw one man. I'll never forget this. Sinclair was staring at me. Not in regret or fear or anything, really, that would be appropriate, but a grin. His machines worked. He told me that they would be the next super soldiers. I told them they're just scientists. They don't fight. They work out the equations. He told me that he'd changed that. It's not like the original 50 super soldiers were months, years away. They were only, like, maybe weeks at most. The suits are pretty much finished for them. And as we speak, they're in training and neuro links are being applied to the original 50. But that wasn't enough for him. He still had to have the four. He called them the elite four. He ordered their surviving to be classified information. Their families think they're dead. The world thinks they're dead. They're mourning alive people. They... I asked the government officials, whatever happened to the Pacific Standard scientists. What they said shook me to my bones. They said they found no evidence of them at all. Except maybe some blood and little pieces of them. They, they think the blast was, they were so close to the blast that it practically vaporized them from so much energy. But I asked about what happened to Dr. Halvick because they wouldn't answer about him. They never told me anything. I turned on the news and saw the news announcement. They were calling him a traitor that Sora made into it. Sinclair was using this as an advantage to move tensions to DEFCON 2. The end is really coming, huh? We're getting closer and closer to each day. He's not a traitor. He's the only one who had humanity. And he's the bad guy. If I ever see him again, I wish I could help him. Either get out of this Godforsaken country back to his own or maybe help him even stop my creations. God, I hope this never even gets into the wrong hands. If Sinclair sees this, I'm dead. I could be Sora's next victim. I am the lead, I'm the highest ranking official for the Vossium research department. That is crazy. God save us. And glory to Oniwari.
