Left arrow to see the previous one. I'm really sorry about the quality of the images. :( You can see these on the websites (links in ''Notes and Credits''). Soooo, let's start analyzing the diagrams! Picture 1. You can see that most Americans are protestant. In the Rhode Island state the percent of Catholicism is higher than in other states; there are fewest Mormons. Picture 2. This is nearly the same, but here all religions are shown, not only Christianity. I guess it's strange that 2% of ppl don't know or refused to say which religion they practise! Picture 3. This again shows all religions in the USA. 63% are Christian, and most of the Christians are Protestant (23% + 11% + 5% = 39% of the US population). 30% are religiously unaffiliated: 19% are just not religious, 6% are Agnostic, which means that they think that existence of God can't be proved or disproved, and 5% are Atheists, whose opinion is that God can't and does not exist. There are also 7% who practise other religions. Picture 4. This map shows you the percent of Christian population by country. USA has 65-80 percent here, as the map is a bit old. Now there are less Christians... I live in Russia, and there are also 65-80% of Christians. According to more precise estimates, 67-73% of Russians are Christians. Most of them are Orthodox. Picture 5. Here is the regional distribution of Christians. You can see that in 1910 most Christians lived in Europe. But after a century, Americans took the first place! Every part of the world except for Europe and Middle East-North Africa has now a larger percent than it had had 100 years ago. Picture 6. And here is a chart which shows denomination percent in the world. Half Christians in the world are Catholic, about 2/6 are Protestant, and nearly 12 percent are Orthodox. I'm Orthodox by the way!
