DOWNTIME: - Servers are currently OFFLINE - No expected return time (SuperServer 2 maintenance) IMPORTANT: - The project should now be available for all Scratchers. - You can ONLY send strings of numbers, no other text/symbols (not even spaces). - Servers are likely to be down from around 9:00 PM EST to 10:00 AM EST as the host computer is shut down. ( [!] They'll be down indefinitely while I work on SuperServer 2) HOW TO USE: - Click 'upload' to send a string of numbers to the server. You can pick between 5 server storage slots to send the string to. - Click 'retrieve' to fetch the data from one of the 5 server slots and return it to the variable at the top of the screen.
CREDITS AND EXTRAS: - All programmed by me. - The server runs through the host's computer (which is mine in the case of this project). RECENT CHANGES: - Changed the color of stereo buttons (client and host) to blue. Host-only buttons will remain red. - A new, host-only set of functions that automate the data saving and restoring process when the server is reset. - Added some behind-the-scenes optimizations for some scripts. These were mainly host-only and are to aid future development. COMING IN SuperServer 2: - Rewritten server code (should be more efficient and way easier for both the host and client to run) - Extended server storage (higher limit than the tested 5-9 slots - potentially reaching into the thousands or even tens of thousands) - Improved logging (a whole dedicated logging list to display error feedback and progress on tasks sent to the host) - The ability for the client to create a queue (instead of only sending one request at a time, which can be slow, the client can create a queue of requests and then send the whole queue to the host) - Expanded host feedback capabilities (essentially the same as the client queue, where the host can return multiple retrieve requests at once when fetched by a client) - Improved data return (data retrieved from the host will be stored in a list instead of a single variable that can be overridden - this will also allow for copying/pasting retrieved data) - Better UI (the UI in SuperServer started to get pretty cluttered with new functions, so SuperServer 2 will take that into account) - More host functions (particularly to make importing and exporting server data quicker, and also allowing server resets separately from exports)
