Edwin is a lanky Lykoi cat with a naturally scruffy, uneven coat of charcoal-gray fur, sparse enough in places that his skin shows through around his face, ears, paws, and legs, giving him an unsettling appearance that he is completely unaware of. His large ears, sharp yellow-green eyes, long limbs, and habit of staring at people for just a little too long make him seem almost intimidating, but Edwin is actually an awkward, soft-spoken, and rather socially clueless fellow who rarely realizes when he is making someone uncomfortable. He has a habit of standing far too close when talking to someone, maintaining intense eye contact without meaning to, and appearing silently behind people because he walks so quietly, often causing whoever he is speaking to jump. Edwin never understands why everyone looks nervous around him and will usually just blink at them in confusion before continuing the conversation as if nothing happened. He speaks in a flat, quiet voice and has a very dry, sometimes unintentionally morbid sense of humor, which only makes his already unnerving presence worse. Despite his strange demeanor, Edwin is genuinely kindhearted and easily embarrassed, especially when someone points out that he has been acting creepy without realizing it. He works mostly as a scout, lookout, and occasional driver, relying on his sharp eyesight, quiet footsteps, and ability to move unnoticed through dark alleys. He isn't particularly brave and would much rather avoid a fight. He sees himself as a coward. Edwin dresses in somewhat oversized 1920s clothing, usually a loose button-up shirt, dark suspenders, high-waisted trousers, worn shoes, and an old coat (sometimes), and somehow always looks as though he has just wandered out of an alley regardless of how carefully he dressed. He's the kind of person who can accidentally frighten someone half to death simply by appearing silently in a doorway and asking in the most sincere voice imaginable, “Are you alright?” without having the slightest idea why they're staring at him like he's a ghost.
