Chapter 7: Resist and return "I will make nations bend and bow by my feet." The advance on the Glacier tribes has been a halt and Beaubean's mounted infantry is forced to withdrew, suffering around six hundred casualties, while losing five hundred horses. But in the archipelago, the Eastern Dynasty successfully placed settlements on the southeast archipelago, while some indigenous tribes slowed them down, naval support from their new submarines easily destroyed them with less than three concussion rocket volley. While Gausstavus rules the northern peninsula, Tsar rules the frozen steppes, Horatio rules the waters, Sigismund rules the southern desert, here? It's all for the Empress, or at least the two shards of her carried there. The Eastern Dynasty doesn't know about the tiny kingdoms that exist there, tho with inferior technology and numbers. These tiny kingdoms can still be dangerous. After knowing the defeat in one of thier camp, the Yophate Dynasty's leader ordered to track down the Sirrasan phalanx, currently withdrawing to their base. The allied army, some four thousand strong consisting of Yophate grenadiers, these ones who actually use plasma grenades, and Garde Mortis mounted infantry. They marched in five columns, with one single intention: kill the withdrawing Sirrasan and avenge their fallen comrades. They opened fire on the Sirrasan troops, targeting the Jazailchies first, their lack of bayonet makes them vulnerable against the Garde Mortis mounted infantry, who split into four groups and charged at them before returning to a safe position, dismount and return to the field. With the Jazailchies gone the rest of the Sirrasan troops scattered, most getting shot or surrendering but a few charged with half pikes, five managed to throw their pikes and killed three Yophate soldiers. Back in the Tsardom, Gausstavus struggled as he faced tribes of Tsarist horse archers, using composite bows that shoot out arrows with Disruptor tips, tho inaccurate and has shorter range the Disruptor arrows shouldn't be underestimated. They attack the Karoliner flanks and fire one or two volley of Disruptor arrows before retreating back, tho they are not really the most dangerous troops, they are pretty annoying to be dealt with since their horses are too fast for the Karoliner cavalry to chase. The Karoliner troops fired at the horse archers, taking them down. Because arrows are pretty inaccurate and only a fraction of the arrows actually hit thier targets meaning Gausstavus' army remains strong as they marched to the Tsar's land, Gausstavus himself however was shot in the arm. The Disruptor arrow was easily removed, but this created a wound in his arm that theocratically could be fixed by his living metal, but will take too long. Instead he ordered his Grand Grenadiers to scrape a tiny part of their forearm with their Disruptor Bayonet that he could use as material to rebuild his damaged arm. In the center of the continent, the civil war in the Commonwealth has come to an end with the Karoliner pro republic winning against the Sigismund loyalist, any high ranking officer of Sigismund's army captured are executed. Before marching to the Tsar's land, Gausstavus gave orders for Beaubean's mounted infantry legion to follow him into the Tsar's land, similar to a second army. The Tsar rallies his remaining army and plans on strengthening his army knowing that Gausstavus' army is coming. For now, all he can do is send swarms of horse archers to try and slow the Karoliner down. Nelson knows about this and plans on an invasion against the Glacier tribes, since with the Tsar's army gone, nobody could stop him from ravaging trough the frozen wastelands. This is harder than expected since his ships were damaged by smaller Glacier tribe's cannon boats, but ultimately Horatio successfully invaded the Glacier tribe's shores and destroyed most of their navy. They can't advance yet, not now. Back in the archipelago, the Rencong Voidcasters, a very tiny but somewhat powerful kingdom in one of the island. Knowing that a kingdom from far away, something they consider as the 'Formation people' since while they formed large formations, the Rencong Voidcasters use smaller attack groups with melee weapons, usually halberds that works similar to the average Disruptor Bayonet, but instead of cutting trough the enemy in a molecular level, the Voidcaster's blade is powered by a mini void core that projects a blade capable of cutting trough any material, coming in contact with a Disruptor Bayonet or pike, it will disable it for a few seconds while coming in contact with another Voidcaster blade would release sparks of superheated plasma in all directions, however thier lack of ranged weapons caused them to be massacred by the Eastern Dynasty within a few days, the Palace Guards even said that "Arrogance, lack of ranged weapons or artillery caused their downfall. The Voidcasters are undoubtedly the world's least dangerous troops."
