On December 2nd at 10:46 AM Jorico Standard Time, a nuclear incident at the Simons Palladia Power Plant caused extensive destruction to Brosbon and dispersed fallout across the island. The event also severely disrupted our communication systems, rendering devices inside and outside the country unusable. A military electronic warfare and communications facility was destroyed, and a subsequent solar flare caused a complete communications blackout. Despite numerous attempts, emergency alerts have had limited success, though communication has now been restored. Martial Law will remain in effect for twelve more days as we evaluate the damage from the blackout. All residents within 650 kilometres have been evacuated. An exclusion zone of the same radius has been established to keep civilians out of contaminated areas. During the blackout, an estimated 35,000 civilian casualties have been reported.
