IMPORTANT If you see any color (in the actual project, and not the variable in top left) other than black, white, and gray, then the game is not working properly, and you must reload to make it work. And if said color is not red or green, then you need your eyes checked. This bug basically causes parts of the simulation to freeze, and it can make some cool things! THE BORDER IS A WALL OF DEAD, AND IT WILL ALWAYS STAY DEAD, ANYTHING THAT GOES THROUGH WILL CRASH INTO A WALL. (send a glider into it, see it crash.) BUTTONS AND STUFF The triangle on the bottom left is the play button. HOVER over it to go to the next frame, to keep continueing, just keep your mouse/finger there. To change the state of a cell/square, click it. Simple. The slider controls the speed. Each level of speed makes it 0.25 seconds faster between frames. 0=5 seconds and 20=0 seconds. having it at 20 will break it and 19 will probably also break it. 16=1 second, 16 and 17 (if someone says six-se(imnotsayingthat) in the comments I am going to explode.) are the recommended speed levels. 0 is extremely slow. Just dont. CONWAY'S GAME OF LIFE Conway's game of life is a simulation made by John Horton Conway. The squares are called CELLS. Any white cell is DEAD. Any black cell is ALIVE. Each cell has 8 neighbors. Any dead cell that has EXACTLY three neighbors is BORN, and now ALIVE. Any living cell with 2 or 3 neighbors SURVIVES, otherwise it DIES. In cellular automaton notation, it is written as B3/S23. (Conways Game of Life is a cellular automaton, with the rules being B3/S23. Another one might have the rules B34/S2345, which idk and idc if it has a name.
Read the 'IMPORTANT' and the 'BUTTONS AND STUFF' section of the instructions before you play, and if you don't know what Conway's Game of Life is, read the 'CONWAY'S GAME OF LIFE' section. This is just Conway's Game of Life. Thanks to John Horton Conway for making Conway's Game of Life UPDATE LOG: aug 14, 2026 game was released. prob never gonna update it.
