I decided to tell my retelling of the (in)famous 1976 cartoon About Dressy Sally. Not many people might know this but it came from an older story called "The Old Man at the White House" back in 1897. In the original book, it ended differently on a cliffhanger where Sally was just taken away by the wizard and we don't know what happened making the rumors somewhat true that the wizard had bad intentions. The 1971 retelling of the story had these lines. "And the small wizard took the lying Sally away. To where? Well, to us! There she sits, looking at us!" I don't fully know what it meant but it is good that the 1976 film had a significantly happier ending for both parties. I was afraid of the animation at first a few years back in 2022(?) but a couple of months back on my birthday, I got back into watching it. I got inspired by a video I watched to make my own version of the story. I was actually rushing a bit to make it so that is why the voices are a bit off. And the picture is AI generated and I had to erase some stuff. I might add a new thumbnail later.
Sally belongs to AAA studio and Dagmar Doubkova.
