So, I started writing this story around two years ago. I think it's kind of good (12-year-old me writes better than 14-year-old me, lol). No one has read this except my brother so I thought, "Might as well someone else read this." So here it is! P.S: My name is not Sunny irl. CHAPTER TWO: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1386311322 Chapter One: A Sad Start Some years ago…. Few palm trees stood, and the usually green grass was full of ashes. Smoke was filling the sky from the burning palm trees, and the once clear blue water was full of aches and dirt. From a certain distance you could see a city being built. She looked down and there embraced in her arms was tiny sleepy little yellowish fox, he was wrapped in a blue blanket. He was just born three days ago, when the takeover started. She looked back at the city, she had to look for a home for him. She had to make sure he survives. She walked carefully, making sure the ‘robots’ didn’t saw her. She entered the city as she tried not to be detected by the ‘fast moving flying robots’. She looked from Building to Building, and then her eyes landed on the building that said, ORPHANAGE She looked back at her child, and then back at the Orphanage. She sighs, and walked at the building, and she placed her child on the entrance, she took out a paper out of her pocket and wrote: “This is Miles Prower, he was born on October 16, the same day as when the takeover happened. Take care of him for me. “ She looked back at him; he was still sleeping in peace on the concreate floor. She continued to write, she had to make sure they wouldn’t teased him for something that made him different: Please… don’t laugh at him for his extra tail.” Now…. October 16…. I hate this day. I hate the day I was born. I hate the day my parents decided to abandon me. I hate the day the Eggmen took over. The day the city was built. The day everyone stopped being happy. I never saw the green grass, I never saw the blue skies, I never saw the big green palm trees, I never saw the white fluffy clouds. I never saw the blue cold ocean; I never saw the big juicy coconuts. And I never had a day of peace. And I guess I will never will. Hours later… There I was standing near the broken vase with another fox named Asher. He was a fox with reddish-brownish fur, for attire he wears a black shirt, peach shorts, black shoes and white gloves and socks. “I didn’t do it” I stated. “Asher did it, he tried to throw his dinosaur at me, but it missed, and it broke the vase instead.” I had lost track of how many times I had to say that, and I still wonder how many times I would need to say that for her to believe me, or how many times I would hear the same answer repeatedly. ““No, you got my dinosaur and threw it at the vase, and it broke.” Asher controverse, again. “Why would I throw it to the vase?” I questioned wanting to take this argument to another path, instead of repeating the same thing again, and for him to answer the same thing again. “You said you were gonna blame me for breaking the vase.” “I never said that!” I yelled. “Enough! Miles you’ve caused enough trouble in this Orphanage for long enough, now you are going out!” A grey wolf with black pants, grey shirt and shoes, with white gloves and socks pointed to the door leading outside. “What?!” Me and Asher exclaimed at the same time. “I’m kicking you out.” She said before grabbing me by the wrist and started dragging me outside. “¡No, Miss Grey please! I didn’t do anything!” I pleaded but all my efforts were in vain. She was stronger than me, I was just four. I turned my head, and there was Asher, his amber eyes were staring at me in disbelief. "Don't come back!" Miss Grey said throwing me outside and landing on the cold concrete floor, and as the door slammed shut, I instantly got up and started banging on the door with my hands. “Let me in! Let me it!” I yelled as kept banging the Door. “Please! Let me in!” Tears started forming in my eyes, as my voice started to crack. “Let me in!” I stopped banging the door, as I started to lose hope. I slide down the door, as tears kept falling from my face, “Let me in.” I whisper. I kept crying, not bothering to keep yelling or banging on the door. It was then that for the first time in my life I felt truly worthless, and a deep sadness surrounded me. I stood up and lean against the door, looking at the city. Tears were still in my eyes as I observed the city. The city was entirely industrialized with technology and neon lighting everywhere. Buildings were much bigger than the orphanage, and the sky was heavily polluted, the sidewalks and the roads were made of cement, and there were city lamps post and benches. People walked glumly. “It looks like a dystopian city.” I told myself as the people walk by depressed and downhearted. I wiped away the remaining tears, I was no longer crying, but I still felt a great emptiness inside me. I started to walk through out the street.
I started to get very hungry, as I hadn't had breakfast today. I kept walking until I came to a restaurant. I walked in, it was empty, except for the small family of three across the room, and the old lady sitting alone near the window. I sat down at an empty table and waited a bit, apparently there was no one at the counter. I expected the place to smell like steel, as the walls were made of steel, but I was surprised that it actually smelled more like coffee and pancakes, and I came to the conclusion that it was a breakfast restaurant. A young teenage rabbit-girl walked from a door behind the counter, and walk over me. “What would you like to order?” Said the waitress as she handed me a menu. I looked at the menu for a few seconds before answering, “Can I have, uh, scrambled eggs, ¿please?” “I’ll be right back with your order.” She said before taking the menu, and walked away. I waited, and waited. For a weird reason I felt nervous, I wonder why. Money! Ugh. I knew I forgotted something. When Miss Grey kicked me out, I left with nothing, except the clothes I had on. I have no money, and I already order. What am I gonna do? ……… Maybe I can make a run for it, before the waitress comes with my food…On second though, that would be very rude, but I don’t have a choice. I can’t pay, so I can’t eat. I was so focused on my thoughts that I didn't notice that the boy from the small family was staring at me. "That fox has two tails!" What looked like a red 2-year-old cat yelled as he pointed at me. His parents turned their heads and when they looked at me their faces clearly reflected a sense of disgust. I started to feel really intimidated, as the family stared at me, the old lady looked at me for a second before continuing to stare out the window. But what I didn't know was that the situation was about to get much worse. The waitress appeared through the door behind the counter, she must certainly have heard the boy's exclamation, judging by the expression on her face and by what she said next, "Is everything in order?" “That boy has two tails.” The mother of the boy stated firmly as she pointed at me. The waitress looked at me for a moment before looking disgusted. That's when the cook appeared behind her with a frying pan in his hand, "I heard there was a fox with two tails?" "It's him." The old lady said as she pointed at me. And then, the cook came with his frying pan and began to swing it like a sword, "Get out! Little pest!" he cried. I started running around the restaurant in desperation, while the boy laughed, "Run pest! If you can!" the boy shouted while giggling. Tears began to consume my eyes once more, and I was afraid that the little boy would laugh even more if he saw me crying, so I hurried outside. I kept running, even though I knew the cook had stopped chasing me. I turn the corner and enter the public park without hesitation. Tears continued to fall from my face as I sat near a large artificial oak tree. I wanted to get out of that restaurant, but not this way. I wiped away my tears as I calmed myself down. I stood up and started to walk through the city park. I knew something terrible was going to happen to me that day, but I never thought it would be so terrible. I kept walking through the park lost in thought.... But what I didn't know was that I was being followed.
