Fire, Charge! 6

Chapter 6: Fields of execution "I will make nations bend and bow by my feet." The Tsarist-loyalist army faced against the Karoliner-royalist army. The stood firm against each other. For what seems like hours everything is quiet, but once the guns are in range. They opened fire, skirmishers and scout cavalry harassed each other while the armies marched forwards, cavalry protecting their flanks and artillery roaring not far from them. "The kingdom expects us to fight!" Said Gausstavus as he points towards a marching Tsarist column far in the horizon towards his Grand Grenadiers. "Reclaim our land, liberate our allies!" Tsar ordered at his elite Black Guards as they marched forwards. The Tsar's Dragoon arrived in from the east, dismounting and preparing to join the battle in any moment. The Sky Vampiric Lancers dive down from the skies from both sides, but it was a failure for both sides and they both lost. Back in the ground, the artillery doesn't stop blasting the other side's soldiers as the armies got even closer. An infantry column ran towards the Dragoon's position, the Tsarist Dragoons and approaching Karoliner infantry quickly formed a line before firing volley after volley at each other, smokes rose from both the gun barrels and the soldiers getting shot by beams of laser. At one point it was so intense that both sides resorted to charging at each other with Disruptor Bayonets before going on full melee. A small group of Dragoons fled and mount their horses, wishing to return to the melee with an advantage. The horses already ran away in fear, and the fleeing Dragoon quickly gets shot by some pursuing Karoliners who managed to get a few lucky shots before they themselves get stabbed by the Tsarist Dragoons, it was hell. The main armies finally saw a glimpse of each other, the artillery bombardment stops, both guns has overheated. Both sides fired volley and volley, but the Karoliner marched closer, firing and advancing. And when they got to the point where they could see the Tsarist troop's optics, they wait until the Tsarist soldiers fire their volley and became vulnerable. Since their weapons will overheat, needing to wait until up to fifteen seconds to fire again. The Karoliner fired two devastating volley, before the cavalry charged at the wavered Tsarist lines, returning to the back. The Karoliner fired a volley at the Tsarist. They fired back but if this was to last any longer, the Karoliner will win. More Tsarist Dragoons arrived to help them out, the damaged Tsarist units are then ordered to fallback, while new units took their place. The artillery is capable of firing again, and wasting no time, they did. But most units from both sides are already almost destroyed, and the Tsar's Black Guards arrived. They easily turned the tides in the Tsar's favor, until Gausstavus commits his own elite units, the Grand Grenadiers. They fired for half an hour, before finally the Tsarist troop's fled their positions, knowing that it already costed them too many soldiers. The battle ended with the Karoliner around losing three thousand seven hundred troops, while the Tsarist lost four thousand troops and got two guns destroyed. They fled to the rocky mountains where the Karoliners could not pursue them any further. The Karoliner, rallied their troops and reformed their battalions, they are planning to do something no nation has done before. The Sirrasan Republic attacks, approaching in loose columns with Disruptor pikes taken down to two pieces. While Plasma Jazailchies screen and protect them as they marched towards a Yophate camp, near a village that they raided days prior. The reason most Sirrasan soldiers don't use the Plasma Jazails are because Plasma Jazails take too long to assemble, and you don't need too many of them when one could easily destroy an entire battalion with a few shots while outranging the Yophate laser guns, a single Jazail has firepower comparable to standard cannons which is why the Sirrasan Republic rarely use cannons, those used however are only captured cannons. A Garde Mortis scout spots the incoming column, but before he can report it to his commander he was shot by a Jazail, leaving nothing but pieces of scrap metal and smoke on something that once was a scout. The column marched forwards, forming into tight pike phalanx squares with four squads of Jazailchies on each corner when they saw a company of Yophate skirmishers. It was easily shot down by the Jazails before they could even react. However, as they approached the closer to the village, a Yophate sentry spots the incoming column. Not long after, the Sirrasan Jazailchies shot the three heavy guns the Yophate has, two destroyed one disabled. The Garde Mortis and Yophate soldiers stationed there formed a line and opened fire, the perfect dry desert makes thier lasers deal way more damage. The Sirrasan phalanx charged, successfully breaking the allied lines while suffering not too many casualties.
