Math is fire! A dragon and Scratch cat battle it out to keep candles lit on the cake. Play with the sine equation I am using by adjusting the frequency and amplitude with the sliders. Not a big enough fire to reach the cake? Try changing the amplitude. How many candles can you light or leave unlit? (And see what also happens to the color of the dragon fire as the amplitude changes.) Note: At a few frequency and amplitude combinations, the dragon sometimes just breathes but without fire. Why? Explore my code to understand the math and the conditions I'm using to create this effect. What would you change or add?
I was inspired by some fun movement generated by sine equations in cheekybubba5's "Caveman Frank Tries Modern Inventions" project. You can see another project I made using these candles called "Scratch Week: Birthday Bash Eternal Flame." ----- Thanks to Scratch Cat for the candle art, and ceebee for additional art elements!
