Meet Miss Moss! (she/they) ________ Miss Moss, named so by the elderly village that sits outside of the forest, is somewhat of a mystery. No one knows quite what she is, but, as the village elders will whisper to you over candlelight, she can be found when the fog rolls in thick through the woods, coating the trees with eerie silence. What the elders will not tell you is that once upon a time, a young boy wandered into her forest, stumbling around until night had fallen and he could no longer remember his way home. Lost and scared, the little boy held his head in his arms, praying for anything to save him. And they must have heard his prayer, because when he looked up, a glowing figure stood gracefully before him, lighting up the nearby trees with a calm yellow hue. The branches of the forest, which had just been twisted into a terrifying form, now waved gently, subdued by her firefly glow. The little boy followed the guardian of the woods all the way back to the village, but when he turned around to thank them, what stood in her place was a single yellow flower, petals slowly curling inward. The guardian of the forest does not harm its visitors. Yes, her eyes of molten petals commonly startle those new to the woods, but the nearby villages let their children wander into the dark trees with no fear. They know that Miss Moss will return them home safe.
