REMIX!!!! First of all, what is an RCTA? An Rcta is a non Asian person who changes their race to become asian. Ex: American to Chinese. (95% of the time “asian” is just Chinese, Japanese and Korean to RCTAs, which is another issue because they think those are the most “aesthetic” asian countries.) An ECTA is an asian who changes their country to a different Asian country. Ex: Indonesian to Korean. There’s other RCTA types, Ex: Jamaican to American. But ALL of these are wrong. RCTAs say it’s the same as being transgender and if you’re against RCTAs you’re a transphobe? Being trans is absolutely nothing like being an RCTA. If you’re an RCTA and you’re reading this, Im not trying to come off strong and be disrespectful, but ask any biological asian and they will tell you this isn’t ok. You can like ramen and you can learn Korean and there is nothing wrong with that, I love Asian culture too. Please don’t change your appearance or culture though, people will love you for your real self. Changing race is disrespectful because it truly is racist. Most RCTAs change their eye shape and hair to “look Asian”. People need to understand that not every Asian actually has monolids, even if they’re, say, full Chinese. Not every Asian has strait black hair and saying that’s what Asian looks like is stereotyping. On TikTok some RCTAs make profiles, one I found is: “Hi! I’m a new Rcta! *rice emojis* Dead name: Emily. New name: Yuki. Im American to Korean and Japanese! Why: I’m connected to the culture and not because of kpop and anime or anything! So don’t hate! Rcta is valid: how? Because it’s the same as trans! So it’s not racist or anything! Do not call me R*nny! (That is their word for Rcta racism) it’s offensive and it hurts us RCTAs. I love the Korean and Japanese culture because it’s so kawaii and cute!! It’s so beautiful and I want to visit Korea and Japan so bad! My eye now: (picture) My goal eye: (picture) She seems like a nice person… but I think you can see a few rude parts of this… 1. Calling Japan and Korea “kawaii and cute” is different from “liking the culture” and it’s so rude. 2: the goal eye thing and I think you can figure out why… 3. “Dead name” is not a good way of putting it. Emily is a really pretty name and even if you are RCTA you don’t have to change that. Another issue is saying you’re from a country you’re not on scratch. A lot of aes scratch profiles say a certain country when they aren’t from that country or live in that country. I’m not just talking about Asian countries, saying you’re from a country ( unless you’re truthful when somebody asks ) is catfishing. Even I’ve done it before I realized it was wrong. I have another video I remixed, look in my past projects if you’re interested. In conclusion: RCTA is a racist trend. Not all Asians have monolids Don’t lie about ethnicity/ country you live in Please understand this. Xo, Loka
