Chapter 5: The other lands In a world with sentient machines and no organics, a new leader steps from the shadows. The Tsarist Navy and Royal Horatio Navy are still setting sail. One tries to blockade the Karoliner, one tries to prevent them from getting blockaded. Both Gausstavus and Tsar's armies are mostly being reorganized, strengthened, and updating their tactics. While the mounted infantry legion, five thousand troops and three batteries lead by Beaubean and the Eastern Defense Militia are busy with their own wars, the main army is currently not capable of combat with their full potential, not yet. While in the southern lands, where the desert heat scorched the land, the Garde Mortis lead by Emperor Ney Mortier sends an expeditionary force of seven thousand troops and two thousand heavy shock cavalry, along with six gun batteries to try and explore this unknown land. A large, walled city surrounded by small villages is seen in the horizon, unlike anything they've seen before. With giant guns and think walls, surrounded by earthworks and outposts. Emperor Ney Mortier realized that while everything is determined by either Gausstavus or Tsar, here. He is in charge, the Garde Mortis managed to ally with the Yophate Dynasty by agreeing to help them destroy the Sirrasan Republic. But before they can start a full scale invasion, they will need to dispatch small company level operations to raid nearby Sirrasan cities. The Karoliner on the other hand, marched with seventeen thousand troops, three thousand shock cavalry and six gun batteries marched towards the east into the Tsardom, connecting their mainland to the Vampiric Commonwealth burning two port cities along the way, but by the time they arrived. The Commonwealth was already in a bloody civil war, the Northern Gausstavus pro republic against the Loyalist South. At this time, both Horatio and Tsarist navies are battling over the Karoliner's coast, but until now nobody is within range and not even one shot is fired. The Mounted infantry legion however is struggling against the Glacier tribes as heavy snow makes the invasion harder, Glacier Skirmishers picking off the mounted infantries beyond the range of their laser guns. The Eastern Dynasty offered peace with the Tsardom since they already got their lost territory, they have no more interest in attacking the Tsardom. The Tsardom accepted, they don't need another front, knowing that they just lost two port cities to the Karoliners. The civil war is an opportunity to for the Tsardom to push the Karoliner out of the Vampiric Commonwealth. A force of fourteen thousand troops, eight hundred cavalry and four horse artillery batteries marched a very long walk from the heart of the Tsardom into the lands of Commonwealth, but in the meantime. Both the Garde Mortis and Yophates are shocked by the Sirrasan use of plasma Jazails. They're more like artillery than firearms, destroying entire files with one shot. "Sirrasa is a sleeping giant. Let her sleep, for when she wakes she will shake the world." Said Emperor Ney Mortier as he reads the raid reports on his tent. He realizes how effective the Yophate plasma grenades would be during sieges and plans on giving them to his heavy cavalry. While in the north, the Tsarist Navy clashed fiercely against Nelson's fleet but ultimately, their superior numbers and better experience caused the Tsardom to lose, while managing to sink five Ships of the Lines and four frigates out of thirty ships out of the twenty two Ships of the Lines and eight frigates. While getting nine of thier Ships of the Lines and three Frigates sunk, out of the eighteenth Ships of the Lines and seven Frigates. The Tsar really hoped that his army could beat the Karoliners, even if he knows he is outnumbered and outgunned. Back in the Dynasty, a shard of the Empress was summoned again. An uprising has started in the center of the capital. The rebellion was caused since a group of dynasty troops, three regiments strong simply did not want to fight for the Empress, the reason being that they do not want to fight for a leader that could be shattered. Tho the rebellion was easily destroyed using Scatterblast shots from their regular cannons. As the Palace Guards say: "Their lines are shattered by the thing they called the shattered one." But under the waters, something lurks in the dark. The Eastern Dynasty has managed to make a ship capable of being used underwater, capable of firing a volley of rockets before returning underwater to reload. This will be successful as they invade the archipelago in the southeast. But they are still mobilizing from the east, and preparing a full continent sized invasion. The Vampiric Commonwealth knows that the Tsardom is coming, both parties. The Loyalist fled their land to join the Tsar's army. The Karoliner and Vampiric Lancers form a combined army, not thinking that the Loyalist and Tsarist army are turning into one large allied force as well.
