Sometimes inside of tornadoes, a second mini tornado forms within it. This is called a sub-vortex, usually appearing in uncommon tornadoes called "Multiple-Vortex" tornadoes. Whenever the sub-vorts follow the main tornado, it causes heavy scraping into the ground, causing strange swirls to carve into the dirt. I've been analysing and studying the movement of these sub-vorticies, and therefore I built this accurate simulation to visualize how they move and cause these swirls. Inside the project youll find its literally just a circle moving eastward while its spinning, however, as simple as it sounds, that's basically what happens in the real life phenomenon.
