⠀⠀ ⠀⠀〖 ⠀⠀❝ωнαт ιƒ ι вℓιηк αη∂ ℓσѕє уσυ?❞ ⠀⠀〗 ⠀⠀i wrote this song as part of my original album in july ⠀⠀called ԃαყԃɾҽαɱ which i released last year. but i ⠀⠀recently re-recorded the songs, including the vocals, ⠀⠀the instrumental, creating harmonies and adjusting ⠀⠀the lyrics!! these songs will eventually go on ⠀⠀streaming services under the artist name "eva ⠀⠀mukherjee", where hopefully i will continue my ⠀⠀career there after i leave scratch. thank you to ⠀⠀@_sunblossom_ for hosting this super cool ⠀⠀competition and letting me enter ❤️❤️❤️! ⠀⠀ ⠀◌❄◌ ⠀ —————— ☁ —————— ⠀ ◌❄◌ ⠀⠀dedicated to all of the older siblings out there! i ⠀⠀wrote this about my younger sister and how it hurts ⠀⠀to see her grow up. she started keeping secrets ⠀⠀and doing other teenager things, while i wanted her ⠀⠀to stay young forever. this song is about my fear of ⠀⠀not being able to protect her anymore as she goes ⠀⠀into the outside world. FUN FACT: there's a ⠀⠀scrapped bridge that i decided to add back on for ⠀⠀this project, so that's something new to listen for! ⠀⠀ ⠀◌♫◌ ⠀ —————— ☁ —————— ⠀ ◌♫◌ ⠀⠀[verse 1] ⠀⠀candyland was our favorite game ⠀⠀you always won in charades ⠀⠀now you’re twelve, plus two years ⠀⠀you’re so grown up ⠀⠀It prompts my fear ⠀⠀[prechorus] ⠀⠀what if I blink and lose you ⠀⠀let something go wrong without ⠀⠀me around to protect you ⠀⠀why are you keeping secrets ⠀⠀locked in your room, I sense the ⠀⠀dangers I can’t control ⠀⠀[chorus] ⠀⠀you fly higher, higher than the sky ⠀⠀higher than the sky ⠀⠀like a sparrow, learning how to glide ⠀⠀learning how to glide ⠀⠀[verse 2] ⠀⠀we built forts out of couch pillows ⠀⠀you wore wings made out of my clothes ⠀⠀ran to me with open arms ⠀⠀held my hand, and never let go ⠀⠀[prechorus] ⠀⠀until now, I’m not your best friend any longer ⠀⠀they’re robbing you of your innocence ⠀⠀I wish I could be your shelter ⠀⠀from the world’s harsh wickedness ⠀⠀[chorus] ⠀⠀you fly higher, higher than the sky ⠀⠀higher than the sky ⠀⠀like a sparrow, learning how to glide ⠀⠀learning how to glide ⠀⠀[bridge] ⠀⠀wish I could lock you like ⠀⠀a bird in your cage ⠀⠀keep you the same while ⠀⠀the world turns your page ⠀⠀but feathers are made ⠀⠀for the wind and the rain ⠀⠀soar high choto pakhi ⠀⠀wish I could lock you like ⠀⠀a bird in your cage ⠀⠀keep you the same while ⠀⠀the world turns your page ⠀⠀but feathers are made ⠀⠀for the wind and the rain ⠀⠀soar high choto pakhi ⠀⠀[chorus] ⠀⠀you fly higher, higher than the sky ⠀⠀higher than the sky ⠀⠀like a sparrow, learning how to glide ⠀⠀learning how to glide ⠀⠀ ⠀◌❁◌ ⠀ —————— ☁ —————— ⠀ ◌❁◌ ⠀⠀vocals: eva mukherjee ⠀⠀songwriting: eva mukherjee ⠀⠀production: eva mukherjee ⠀⠀code: @colorsnatch & ⠀⠀desc: eva mukherjee ⠀⠀ ⠀◌❤◌ ⠀ —————— ☁ —————— ⠀ ◌❤◌ ⠀⠀spotify: ⠀⠀➝ coming soon ⠀⠀scratch studio: ⠀⠀➝ ⠀⠀album info proj: ⠀⠀➝ ⠀⠀bandlab album: ⠀⠀➝ coming soon ⠀⠀ ⠀◌⁂◌ ⠀ —————— ☁ —————— ⠀ ◌⁂◌ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀
