Introducing... The P.E.M. Team Task Force. There are currently around 140 willing soldiers enlisted, ready to become the face of Norlandia's growing military power. These soldiers will be trained to utilize our experimental armament, the Protective Enhanced Mobility Jetsuit, or PEM Suit for short. The Mark I PEM Suit involves 3 interconnected parts: the helmet, the chestplate, and the boots. The helmet provides the user with visual information, such as enemy signatures and jetsuit status. The front of the chestplate contains durable steel plating (bullet-resistant) and a dimmable LED light that indicates when the suit is online, and also serves as a scanner to activate the suit. The back of the chestplate contains 2 liquid fuel canisters and an 80V battery. The boots are armored (slightly less armored than the chestplate), coming with 2 metallic braces (one near mid-calf, the other mid-thigh) and a securely attached thruster to the back. The metallic bracers also serve as shock absorbers. When the user jumps, the spring plating at the bottom of the boot (which also serves as the main shock absorber) flips a switch and draws fuel from the fuel canisters. The thrusters are then ignited for around half a second, propelling the user much higher than a normal jump (testing concluded the average jump to be around 10 feet high). Frequent questions from the soldiers: Q: What if an enemy were to steal the jetsuit? A: That's what your keycards are for, they activate the jetsuit. They can't activate it if they don't have access. Q: What if an enemy were to just, steal an active jetsuit from a dead solider? A: The jetsuit automatically deactivates when it doesn't detect a user. Q: Was this inspired by the N.O.S.T. Jetsuit? A: Very much so. Q: How far can we fall with this thing? A: Any fall 25 feet or higher may likely injure you. Anything below that and you should be fine. However, you will still feel the impact. Our research team in [REDACTED] is currently working on the Mark II PEM Suit. Please note that since this suit is experimental, it will not be issued to soldiers in the task force until proven safe.
