Basic Concept: She is named The Waning Crescent in mythology, but the locals call her Nawa. She is a Filipino deer spirit who is the dying. Her real name is unknown because she is a lone immortal and any name she is given is lost to time. Even Nawa herself does not remember. Her concept is similar to The Last Unicorn. She is the Unicorn in mythology, and is named Amalthea by the cast of main characters, but her real name is unknown (if this makes more sense I hope??) The waning crescent is the last phase before the new moon. On the last moon cycle of winter, Nawa will fade. This is because the sacred forests are currently being destroyed by colonizers conquering Filipino land.
