So, not so long ago me, my sibling and my dad were out shopping for thrift things and also to go to one of the VERY few claries were we live(that was in the mall). at the mall my dad had to go to the washroom and when he was in there me and my sibling were waiting outside for him, when we were outside my sibling found out i was a therian and was fine with it. Anyways, when my dad got out we went to claires and all that and in the car on the way home me and my sibling were talking and they brought up therians (i forgot how so dont ask) and then my dad was all like: "what was that word you said"(he asked cause i cant say the sound "th" very well and he cant hear words well too) Ash(me): "Therians?" Dad: "yeah, aren't those like werewolves or something" Ash: "well kinda..." Sibling: "No! they're people who think they're spiritually an animal!" Dad: "Um... well that's.."(he said that in an uncertain tone BTW) ive been thinking about this interaction a lot since then, knowing my parents they probably wont hate on me once i tell them they might just ask a bunch of questions or hopefully wont care and go on with their lives. :3 Also comment: "Therians forever! :3" if you made it this far :P
Context for why i said "Kinda" when he thought therians were werewolves: Its not cause "oh, they're both human and animal in a way" its cause people are pretty sure that the Therian community started by being a bunch of people talking about werewolves (i got this info from a YouTube video so no hate, also im sharing this info cause it sounds pretty real)
