I absolutely adore character growth, development, and giving every cat a life that feels like it was actually /lived,/ preferably one worth remembering. My previous character was Vultureslaughter of UrchinClan, who I focused heavily on developing through his experiences, relationships, and gradual descent into the monster he eventually became. He was my first character to reach the maximum EXP limit, and although his story has ended, he left quite a mark on UrchinClan. And now? I'm ready to make something different. I recently finished working with a character centered around Wrath/Pride, so I'm looking toward another of the seven deadly sins for my next character. Protective - Once she genuinely cares about someone, she can become fiercely defensive of them. Affectionate - She has a surprisingly soft side, although she'd rather die than admit it. Clever - Corroded is good at noticing weaknesses, opportunities, and little details others overlook. Fearless - Danger tends to intrigue her more than frighten her. Playful - She loves teasing, provoking, and turning even ordinary interactions into games. Resourceful - If Plan A fails, she'll invent Plan B while already attempting Plan C. [=] STABLE STATE Sassy - She almost always has something to say. Flirtatious - Corroded enjoys making others flustered and rarely misses an opportunity to tease. Competitive - Losing isn't forbidden. It's simply deeply, deeply inconvenient. Curious - Especially when someone tells her not to investigate something. Independent - She hates feeling helpless or dependent on others. Proud - Apologies are difficult. Admitting she's wrong is worse. Unpredictable - You never quite know which version of her you'll get. Possessive - Once someone becomes important to her, letting go isn't easy. Reckless - Sometimes proving she can do something matters more than whether she should. Provocative - Sometimes she pushes simply to discover where someone's breaking point is. Emotionally guarded - Genuine vulnerability makes her uncomfortable. REACTIVITY ☾ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚠ REACTIVITY: HIGH ⚠ STABILITY: QUESTIONABLE ⚠ KNOWN TRIGGERS: Betrayal. Abandonment. Humiliation. Being controlled. Being underestimated. Having someone she loves threatened. Corroded isn't necessarily cruel because she enjoys suffering. Sometimes she's cruel because she doesn't know what else to do with the feeling of being hurt. She has a tendency to turn vulnerability into anger. Fear into arrogance. Jealousy into possessiveness. And affection into something dangerously close to ownership. She doesn't always know when she's crossed a line until she's already standing on the other side of it. ✦ UNEXPECTED REACTION For all her volatility, Corroded has one particularly strange weakness: She is gentle with things that cannot defend themselves. Kits. Injured animals. Small creatures. Frightened cats. Someone who genuinely needs help. She may tease a warrior until they want to claw her ears off, then quietly spend an hour caring for an injured creature when nobody is watching. If confronted about it? "It was helpless. What else was I supposed to do?" Don't tell anyone. ¤ ◖❝ Run, you'd better run ❞◗ ¤ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ☾ V. TOXICITY REPORT ☽ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Corroded remembers. She remembers who hurt her. She remembers what they said. She remembers how they looked at her afterward. And most importantly- she remembers how it felt. She doesn't forgive easily. She doesn't forget. And sometimes, she doesn't even want revenge because she hates someone. Sometimes she wants revenge because she wants proof that the pain she felt mattered. This is where Corroded's greatest flaw lies: She has a tendency to believe that hurting someone before they can hurt her is a form of protection. If she thinks someone is going to leave, she may push them away first. If she thinks someone is going to betray her, she may betray them first. If someone hurts her- she may decide they deserve to hurt too. And the worst part? Sometimes she genuinely believes she's doing the right thing. "If I hurt you first, you can't hurt me." That is the lie she has to eventually learn to break. ☠ DARK SECRET [ REDACTED ] There is something Corroded doesn't talk about. Something she keeps buried beneath jokes, flirting, anger, and that ever-present little smile. Maybe nobody knows. Maybe somebody does. Maybe someday she will be forced to tell the truth.
