Click/space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 yay ik ive been giving u guys bread crumbs on spinels lore but here is most of it in detail Okok so first we start where it all began... Spines family!l Spinel also has a HUGE extended family, very diverse too might i add! Spinels dad, Lucian, is a blue jay. And unlike Spine and his mom he actually has wings on his back. Very cool dad, but spinel doesn't know much abt him bc Lucian died when spinel Was very young. Also Lucian had a very busy job, so he couldn't be around spinel that much. But he did love his family aw. (Lucian had a health condition, which caused him to die.) Now onto Spinels mama, Eloise!! Eloise is a Budgie (Thats where the parrot genes come in ohoho) And is a musician, which is the main reason why spinel loves music so much. She taught him how to play the piano! and Eloise loves her baby very much, despite having to raise him on her own. (Also she has two sets of headwings instead of one, and kept the last name songbirde even when lucian died) and we cannot forget about Kairo! Kairo is Spinels cousin on his moms side, Spinel, like Kairo, sees him like a brother. They only saw the Embercrests every once in awhile, for holidays and whanot (Since spinel and his mom lived far away from scalding sands) Eloise, also likes seeing her sister as well when they visited. Okay now that we got that out of the way lets get into the meat Spinel had a pretty standard childhood, he ate dirt, he broke his leg, the works. but then in elementary school he met HIM, THE MAN HIMSELF, NEIGE LEBLANCHE. spinel and neige became friends fairly quick, and yes. Spinel does have a crush on him (obvious atp) Spinel tagged along to Neiges actor jobs and cheered him on behind the sidelines, thats also where he met Vil. Spinel does NOT like Vil, he always disliked how Vil acted when he was around Neige. fair to say the feeling was mutual. Then in middle school Neige encouraged Spinel be an idol, spinel decided to wait a bit before they went to RSA together. And then decided to give it a shot! With Neiges help spinel became fairly popular, and even performed a few concerts and released merch! Spinel was really happy during that period, and felt that nothing bad could happy. I mean he was a literal idol! but all good things don't last forever. At RSA, spinel was fairly known for making potions, that was his specialty. (still is his specialty) And when he wasn't busy idol-ing he would take potion requests! One day spinel received a letter from someone, the name was blotched out with ink but he could still make out the address. So he didn't think much of it, thinking he could just give the potion to the address. The potion was fairly difficult, but spinel ain't no quitter so he decided to sneak into the RSA labs to make it. During when he was making it he noticed it wasn't reacting at all, so he decided to peak into the glass it was in. (ROOKIE MISTAKE, CHANGED EVERYTHING) and BOOOOM! it caught on fire, leading him to injure his eye. the glass fell when spinel yk, got obliterated. which caused the whole lab to go on fire. luckily help arrived and spinel got hospitalized. Spinel turned out fine but he did go half-blind and get his scars. Also that time in the hospital was HELL for spinel, he absolutely hates hospitals now. Not to mention Spinel got expelled from RSA. And became too afraid to go back to being an idol, seeing himself as a wretched being and that nobody would love him for what hes done, and how he looks. So with his last resort he decided to attend NRC, i mean, he doesn't have anything else to lose. And what are the chances he'll be put into pomefiore?? The same dorm Vil is in?? well tickle my toe and call me moe! he got put into pomefiore. Now spinel hates his life, and has a time hard being the same extroverted person he was before. As he quite literally dreads it in NRC. Spinel usually avoid everyone except a few ppl aaaaaaaand thats it for now bc i haven't finished book 5 but once i do i'll post a pt2
