(UPDATED) Clans of the Forest is an OFFICIAL WARRIOR CATS VIDEO GAME Made by Bamtang games and the Coolabi group! So far what I know is that you can create your own Warrior and choose your Clan, there’s a HUGE Highly detailed map featureing iconc locations, and FOUR different campaigns! Each one specific to one of the four clans! You can actually hunt prey and fight animals like dogs, badgers, foxes, and even rival clan warriors! As for the plot, it seems that you’ll start off as an apprentice with a mentor who teaches maybe teaches you how to use the battle mechanics? It’d be really cool to have the tutorial be a Warrior lesson. It also looks like you get your Warrior name later in the game. There’s said to be four unique campaigns for each clan, which in my opinion is very very ambitious considering that Bamtang hasn’t made a RPG game before. A little concerning…. And the one game they made that would be close to how COTF (clans of the forest) would be Avatar: quest for balance. From what I’ve heard that game was not a success with a lot of Avatar fans feeling it didn’t bring the show justice. And with that from the animation in the trailer it seems pretty low budget. But enough about that let’s talk about the Cameo character, it has been confirmed that the four cats featured on the cover are Brightheart Tawnypelt Tallstar and Ivypool. Now this makes zero sense at all. First off this takes place in the Lake territory, So Tallstar wouldn’t even be leader of Windclan, plus Ivypool is in Omen of the stars. It’s impossible for tall star and Ivypool to be alive at the same time. Which makes me believe that the plot dosnt center around them. I also think that the two cats in the trailer that are in the Tribe are probably Stormfur and Brook, I could be wrong though. Many people seem to believe that the silver cat is Feathertail, but you must remember she died before before the cats reached the lake territory. I have a good feeling that the campaigns will not have anything to do with the plot of the books. So basically there is now official Brightheart/Cloudtail/Tawnypelt/Tallstar/Ivypool/Stormfur fan fiction. Don’t know how I feel about that combo. As for the creation of your cat, there’s main patterns and add on patterns somewhat similar to the cat creation stain on Little Kitty Big City. Although it dose seem to have a rather limited color choice, and the name set up seems to be limited to. It dose say that there will be some online aspects incorporated into it, such as being able to go into or view other players dens. However this probably is why the name choice is limited. Since this is technically a kids game they probably don’t want people to name themselves something inappropriate. And for the pelt patterns. Let’s just say if you have a really unique OC, don’t get your hopes up. And even if you’re not interested in the main plot from what I’ve seen it looks like the map is really detailed and would be really fun to explore! I know that the first thing I’m doing when I get this game on my switch is that I’m going to start exploring. The game will be released on October 23 2026! But won’t be able to buy until December something, but over all not much of wait :D Clans of the Forest will be available on Pc (through Steam), Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox series X, and Play station 5
