Following the Economic Crash, we would begin to a programme to develop Greenland's natural resources. We would attempt to discover and exploit rare earth minerals would be a priority, as they could provide us the resources needed to rebuild our technology and manufacturing sectors. The government would fund geological surveys, exploration and infrastructure planning. Danish and Greenlandic researchers would identify the most rich deposits while developing environmentally responsible methods to suit Greenland's harsh climate. We would also research Greenland's oil and gas potential. However, due to the enormous costs this may induce, large scale production would not begin immediately. Instead, we would invest mostly on the most profitable deposits. We would begin to construct the infrastructure needed for future development, such as ports, power infrastructure, communications and mining research facilities. Greenlandic workers would receive expanded technical education so that future projects could apply a larger workforce.
Most importantly, we would avoid immediately spending potential resource revenues. A future fund would be established, allowing profits to be invested into education, infrastructure and technology. By the late 2030s-2040s, Denmark hopes to have established strong foundations for a major Arctic industry.
