let the kids LIVE. and if they repeatedly do it, tell them to knock it off if you're getting annoyed. if it escalates from there, report! LOOOONG YAP SESSION INCOMING. i'm so unbelievably sick of children being looked down upon or harassed for making jokes. and i'm also sick of the "remix to stop 67" stuff because... it's not gonna do crap! you're just hating on something and acting like it shouldn't exist just because it annoys you! newsflash: annoying memes are a thing for every generation! we had annoying memes in the past, we have them now, and annoying memes will persist in the future. stop acting like kids are being brainwashed by a joke, and start considering that it may have to do with a society that's growing ever-dependent on technology with reducing attention spans thanks to the need to "get views." the meme isn't killing kids' minds: everything surrounding it is. i've noticed adults making the joke more often than people near my age. ya wanna know why? it's because the adults have learned that these kids aren't hurting anybody by doing this... inherently, at least. like i said, if it gets to the point where you're being constantly pestered, then you should take action.
"mind your own business dude" you first! if you want me to stop getting at people, those people need to learn to not harass DEVELOPING BRAINS who are gonna grow up being bullied like this! if you wanna talk about rotting brains, i think the hate has gotten to 13-year-olds who think they reached the peak of maturity to the point where they're far more affected by their boiling rage than 9-year-olds who are doing what's popular and aren't actually hurting anybody are doing the thing in question. if anything, this is making gen alpha "scared" of being looked down upon, since they've gained so much notoriety for being "cringe" (newsflash 2: younger generations are cringe. this isn't hurting you. get over it). gen z (my generation) is already experiencing a severe case of "i-don't-wanna-look-cringe"itis since... guess what? GEN Z HAS BEEN MOCKED TOO. MILLENIALS HAVE BEEN MOCKED TOO. every generation goes through """weird""" behaviors, and some are only now realizing that this is causing people (MYSELF INCLUDED) to be afraid of being seen as "cringe" or "stupid" for making a joke. i'm taking meds that will help me not overthink about being looked down upon for any reason, but my point is that a lot of the kids doing the joke are... young. some are in the single-digits. but even then, some kids in that range are also utterly convinced that this joke is """wrong""" (what i've been saying can apply to any meme btw). it can make people utterly convinced that liking something (be it a meme, show, game, literally anything) means that they're very much bound to be a victim of hate. think about, for example, a lot of the people (in the numberblocks community included) who look down upon the sprunki community, primarily due to some of the content that sprawled from it. this isn't good. this hate is gonna convince some fans that they're "weird" or "cringe" even if that isn't hurting anybody and that the actually hate-worthy things don't represent the ENTIRE community. this isn't about hating the game: it's about hating on people who like it or its content. i talk a lot on platforms like this about being nice, and what i say is what i stand by. (also i've seen death threats over 67 on this platform... yeah that's not too important but i think it also shows how excessive this can get)
