one of my parents used to have cancer, so they'e been using it to guilt trip/scare me into detransitioning and forgetting I was ever transgender. I keep trying to get them to understand, but my attempts always fall flat. They've said things like; "I'll get cancer from the stress you give me and die because of you" and, "no matter how much you try, you'll always be a girl". 2-3 years ago, this family member was mad at me for "picking sides" in an argument, and neglected me merely because they were mad. Mostly saying things like "You're not my child anymore". I've already been struggling with being trans, an sh addiction, and unaliving thoughts. The things this person has said has made these struggles worse. I love this family member dearly, but they're the source of my failing mental health. Remember guys, support goes an extremely long way.
