With the RRN's acquisition of wormhole FTL, the Avvana Protocol can no longer be enforced. Effective immediately, GASI is at war with the RRN. The Avvana Protocol states that if under any circumstances the Protocol is breached, there will be unavoidable war with the RRN, whether GASI initiates it or not. Therefore, GASI must strike first. [ So The War Begins... ] GASI has launched a full-scale invasion of the RRN. The GASI forces rush in, attacking enemy forces ruthlessly. Strike ships deliver crushing blows to the enemy, punching way above their weight. Battlecruisers move in, wreaking havoc on any unfortunate fleet that stands in their way. Regular carrier fighters attack shipping and convoys, disrupting supply flow and destroying valuable cargo. The rest of the fleets form the frontline, pushing hard against any defensive mounted by the RRN. The GASI forces utilize overwhelming firepower and speed to keep the RRN's forces falling back, hoping to quickly and decisively bring the RRN to its knees. Meanwhile, on the Zalbitz line, GASI defenders are on high alert, with a Cobalt declaration of war likely imminent, lest they cower away from a fight. GASI seeks Imperium assistance in the war with the RRN, hoping that their close border to the RRN capital can bring about a quick end to the war and a swift collapse of real resistance.
