Chapter 4: Multifront In a world with sentient machines and no organics, a new leader steps from the shadows. King Gausstavus returned, he was angry at what the Tsar's ship has done to his ports. The Karoliner Navy was ordered to head into Tsarist ports to attempt to destroy them alongside their ships. While also carrying troops to land an amphibious invasion if necessary. Without the support of Lord Nelson or Horatio, they know it will be risky. The Karoliner used seven frigates and five Ship of the Lines, two of which are still under minor repairs. One of those ship even missing four guns, but nonetheless they set sail and head towards the Tsardom on the vast Northern ocean. For days, the Karoliner Navy head towards the ice cold waters of the North, their Mission? Destroy as many Tsarist ships and deal as much damage to their ports, avenging their own who got severely damaged by the Tsarist fleet. Days of boredom and nothingness filled the Karoliner fleet, while in the Tsar's land, the Tsarist Navy has heard about this naval invasion, wasting no time, they dispatched two Ships of the Lines to bait the Karoliners deeper into the freezing waters of the North, near the coast of the Glacier tribes. The Glacier tribes, tho with a very weak army and navy, has one of if not the best marksman using weapons that focus more on range and penetration while at the cost of taking more than two minutes to reload. Their navy consists of fast attack boats and light and fast frigates. Preventing the Karoliner to get too close to shore. The Karoliner fleet chased down the two incoming Tsarist ships, who then tried their best to turn around and lure the Karoliner ships into the cold waters near the Glacier tribes. And when the time was right, six Ships of the Lines came in front of the Karoliner ships, pouring raking fire. It devastated two Karoliner ships, not sunk yet but severely damaged. The remaining ships and frigates try to maneuver around and tried their best to return fire. Within two hours, the Tsarist fleet lost one ship and got two damaged. While the Karoliner lost three and got four damaged, the weakness of Gausstavus' army is exposed. They need Horatio to defend thier waters. The Tsardom is now setting sail to blockade the Karoliner but this will take time. "Lord Nelson, I need Horatio to protect my waters. The Tsar is going to blockade my land, my navy got destroyed during the Battle of the Glacier coast. I need your fleet to stop the blockade or we both will lose. You cannot get import and I am cut off from my puppet the Vampiric Commonwealth." - King Gausstavus. Lord Nelson wanted to stay neutral, but he can't loose another source of imported goods. Back in the east, the Eastern Dynasty noticed that the Tsardom's army is currently being reorganized and is vulnerable. The second War of Banks has begun, eight thousand Dynasty troops, four thousand Palace Guards, eight hundred Dynasty cavalry, two laser cannon batteries, and two Cetbang reality-warping cannons marched towards the northern part of the Tsardom, where the rivers are frozen. The two thousand Tsarist militia stationed there quickly start making earthworks and fortifying their positions for both their infantry and four Tsarist artillery pieces. During the first War, the rivers stopped the Dynasty soldier's retreat, this time, it would stop them from advancing. The rivers are frozen, the Dynasty started by firing their guns, the cold makes them less efficient, making them to fire and advance upon the militia. The reality-warping cannons destroyed the fortified positions and earthworks, leaving the militia vulnerable. Infantry and artillery opened fire, the militia and three remaining artillery pieces returned fire from the ruins of a once fortified position. The Dynasty easily won against the Tsardom and managed to regain land. Back in Gausstavus' kingdom, the threat of a naval blockade grew, the Karoliner tried their best to prevent a blockade by deploying their ships planning to make a blockade too costly for the Tsarist, while also still waiting for Lord Nelson's fleet to help, but a storm ended up destroying two of Nelson's frigates and damaging one Ship of the Line. Back in the Tsardom, the Tsar is in a dilemma: focus on cutting the Karoliners from the Commonwealth and liberating them, sacrificing the fight against the Eastern Dynasty or fight the Eastern Dynasty, leaving the west vulnerable to the Karoliners. The Tsar, knowing that Horatio will act as an obstacle to his blockade decided to leave only a portion of his army to defend the east. He knows that while Gausstavus wants to expand his kingdom, the Eastern Dynasty only wants to get their lost territories. Gausstavus, sending his mounted legion lead by Beaubean towards the Glacier tribes to seize their land, this campaign however is harder than expected. While it's in the north, the Garde Mortis lead by Emperor Ney Mortier starts colonizing the south, discovering a formidable foe.
