If people are going to know about me, I won't just settle for your basic "stand up and three fun facts". I won't let you rest until you know every detail of my life. I guess one could say it began at birth. Being born into such a prestigious family comes with its perks. It was everywhere and nowhere all at once. My talents never went unnoticed, and I didn't care how my family used it. I just liked to have fun. Speaking of my family, the Embercrests were one of the wealthier groups of the Scalding Sands, and were in great terms with the Asims. When I was little, I didn't know much about them or why they mattered so much. I just know that the moment their names were mentioned at dinner, my mother and father would be gone for the entirety of the next day, most likely a friendly party or something. My father, Zaki Embercrest, used to be an actor of renown, but he retired recently to pursue engineering. He's different from most of us in our household. His hair was grey, and so were the small wings that were found on either side of his head. It was different from my vibrant red and blue plumage, which was typically seen in the Embercrest family. He was an African grey parrot, unlike our usual macaw heritage. I inherited his amber eyes, though. That's pretty cool, isn't it? My mother, however, had her own history of arts, that didn't include performing. Wisteria Embercrest. She usually kept to herself in her room, working on numerous embroidery projects, and often found herself working with the top designers of the Sands. If she couldn't dress you well, nobody could. When she wasn't working, she was sitting in silence. She was an intimidating woman, and I soon learned that all women would be like that at some point. All fear aside, she was still decent towards me, and I have no complaints whatsoever. On my mother's side, I had a cousin. Spinel Songbirde. I guess you could consider him the brother I never had, seeing as I didn't have any siblings. He was less flashy and more reserved. I didn't see him much, but when I did, we would exchange performing tips and whatnot, trying to strengthen our bond as much as possible in the short periods of time we would have. His family would always come over to ours, since I never did well in the cold. I always saw him as someone to look after, especially since I saw so much of myself in him. My family's great and all, but all of them added up isn't even half as much as my uncle is worth. Everyone in the Scalding Sands would agree that Jad Embercrest was a force to be reckoned with. The greatest performer in his time. Not to mention, I spent most of my time with him as a kid due to the constant absence of my parents for formal occasions. During this spent time, my uncle would always teach me fancy tricks and gimmicks he learned from his career, all because I was eager to learn. Then he got serious.
