The dormitory was quiet. Unlike the warm afternoons after classes, unlike the early morning buzz to get ready. It was simply in the middle between the two. In spite of his desperate wish to attend classes today, Deku was forced to take a sick day. The day previously, he had a sore throat. Although it was simply disregarded, it had turned out to be a mild case of the flu. He had tried to hide it from his peers, but they inevitably found out when he started to cough and blow his nose in the middle of class. A classmate, a girl by the name Ochaco, had pulled him aside to ask if he was okay. Unable to lie to her, he told the truth. Annoyingly enough, it was very difficult for Ochaco to keep a secret. She thought that she could at least inform her friends so that they could keep themselves away from Deku to avoid becoming sick as well. One of the best friends, Mina, was a gossip girl. She could keep a secret from anyone but would give them out for the right price. The other, Tsuyu, could only keep secrets that wouldn't harm anybody. Upon hearing that Deku had an infectious sickness, she immediately told the teacher, Aizawa, about it. She did not want herself, let alone anybody at all to get sick. Later that day, Aizawa came to talk to Deku. "Listen, we all know you're sick," Aizawa said, in his usual monotone voice. "So just take a couple days off until you're not. A sick person taking a couple days off of school is better than everybody getting sick and taking a couple days off." Aizawa then walked to the door and finished with, "If you come to school tomorrow, I will personally escort you out." Deku nodded as he closed the door behind him. He was now sitting at a table in the dormitory kitchen, staring longingly at the school. Suddenly, the serene silence of the building was broken by footsteps. Deku looked behind him to see Kirishima. "What are you doing here?" he asked the tired figure in front of him. Kirishima raised his eyebrow and checked the time. His eyes widened. "Looks like I slept in." he walked over to the kitchen to rummage through cabinets for food. "I hate being hungry. It makes me feel weird and I say every random thought that comes into my head." he said while searching for hunger nourishment. "Okay..." Deku answered, turning back to the window. Kirishima was telling the truth. The second Deku turned around to marinate in his state of sadness, Kirishima blurted out, "I think Bakugo likes you, honestly." Kirishima said, now returning with a bag of off-brand chips. Deku's face was flushed with pink. "Uh... what?" he said, turning his head to face Kirishima slowly. For the first time during this conversation, Kirishima met Deku's eyes. "Yeah. You call each other nicknames and were childhood friends n' stuff..." he attempted to explain, stuffing chips into his mouth. Deku got up. "I'm tired... eheh... being sick really does make you sleepy!" he said, inching away from the room. Kirishima raised a thumbs-up as Deku ran out of the room. He ran to his dorm and slammed the door, then laid down on the bed, screaming into the pillows. While trying to process what had just occurred, he noticed that his bed smelled weird. It smelled... familiar. It was comforting. He dug his head into the pillows and fell asleep. Just five hours later, classes had been over for an hour. Bakugo wanted to get away from all of the people around him, tired of socialization. He slammed the door to his dorm closed and sighed, decompressing. About to drop his stuff and lie down, he looked up for a moment. He noticed Deku sleeping. For a moment, he dropped his stuff down and acted normally, until he processed what he just saw. Deku was sleeping in his bed. Bakugo gasped softly. Rage boiled inside of him, but curiosity overtook it. He looked a bit closer at Deku, noticing his mussed green hair and wrinkled clothes. Bakugo thought that he looked sort of... cute. His eyes widened. Did he just think that Deku, of all people, looked... cute?
(continued) He shook his head as if to rid himself of what had just happened and tried to decipher how to deal with this. He did not want to yell to alert the entire dormitory, but he wanted to highlight the anger he felt. Pasting a furious expression on his face, he kicked Deku off of the bed. He landed with a thud. "Ow..." Deku said, rubbing his head that he'd banged off of the floor. "What the-? This isn't my..." Deku's eyes widened in horror. He realized he had entered Bakugo's dorm. Fell asleep in Bakugo's bed. That's why the bed had smelled so familiar. "Oh my god." he said, clutching the sides of his face. "I-I'm so sorry... I was in a rush and tired and I'm sick-" He was suddenly cut off by Bakugo leaning in towards him. he said in a quiet yet furious voice, "Get. Out. NOW." Deku was too filled with fear to speak. He started to hyperventilate. Bakugo's face softened slightly. "I said-" Bakugo tried to continue, but Deku fell over in front of him. He'd fainted. pt.2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1367907540/
