>> Lenore I still don't have tack for Lenore yet, so I decided to ride her bareback for a while. She has a beautiful trot to sit, but I noticed that she struggles understanding legs cues so we'll have to work on that in the future. She thinks every little heel nudge means I want her to canter! At least she responds well to the bit and didn't run off with me on her. >> Eowyn I haven't ridden Eowyn in a hot minute either, and it showed! She was feral. Once she warmed up at the trot, she got incredibly excited. We cantered around a bunch, but she only got faster and more energetic. When I asked her to slow down, she bucked a little in protest. Not a great behavior so I hope that doesn't stick around otherwise I will definitely be training that out of her! Note to self: ride her more often and definitely lunge her first!
