After many Genocide routes, Sans became aware of memories about previous resets, and seeing no other option to defeat the human, was forced to make himself stronger than them to have a chance at finally winning. There were many twists and unexpected encounters along the way. At the end of the journey, the human fought against Sans one last time. After hundreds of attempts against Sans and failing to defeat him, the player controlling the anomaly left the world for good. Sans, who had finished the job, was ready to go back to his old life. Unfortunately, something bothered him: he couldn't exactly remember how things were before this happened, despite keeping his memories of other resets previously. Not only this stopped him from returning to his old ways, but the survivors of the genocide rejected him from society as a cold-blooded murderer. Conveniently, with the player's disappearance, Chara also grew bored, and longed for some excitement. Something different. Chara just didn't have a vessel ever since the player left and never returned, so Chara decided the next viable option would be Sans, who had a high LV. Though the two had been enemies, Chara had offered something Sans didn't have: memories of the Pacifist route. Sans' mental state was already in shambles, but Chara's appearance made him believe he was delirious, and gripped onto his morality. However, obsessed with finding his memories, he agreed to work with Chara. Though he refused at first, Sans killed every last monster in the underground. With the ability to travel timelines, Sans, driven by Chara, slaughtered each timeline one by one of its inhabitants. Though Sans reminded himself that this was all for the promise of getting his memories of the Pacifist route back, he slowly became more and more obsessed towards what he was doing. Many timelines later, back in the original timeline, Chara felt a familiar presence. Though a new anomaly and puppet they controlled, it was surely no different than the previous anomaly. And so, Sans and Chara decided to give them a warm welcome. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I would imagine Sans to try to confront the human as early as possible this time before the human can get ahold of any items. This is also a re-reboot of one of my older AUs/ATs, which I'm now co-owning with someone. Megalovania is used to represent a final stand between an unexpected individual who represents themselves through judgement. However, in this case, Sans is clearly in no place to judge anyone anymore, therefore this isn't a megalovania.
