HOT TAKE: we should separate the art from the artist. Okay, so basically I used to love playing Dandys World (A game on Roblox created by developer Qwelever, more commonly known as Qwel.) And if you don't know she did some pretty bad stuff. What Qwel did:A recent documentary and public statements revealed claims that Qwel engaged in behavior the community found unacceptable. While the exact details vary in public discussion, the core issue is that her actions have been described as problematic by some, leading to a loss of trust among fans TikTok. Former BlushCrunch team members and others have publicly addressed the situation, and the community has been urged to avoid harassment of Qwel or her associates, (from Google btw lol) in other words from that Qwel has made some very bad decisions that ruined her reputation and her popular games reputation. Now back to the topic of my rant. I see many people online saying that its no longer okay to draw, watch, or participate in anything RELATED to Dandys world. In MY opinion I disagree. Qwel has made many fanloved characters such as Astro, Sprout and Shelly. And just because Qwel made bad decisions DOES NOT mean we have to stop loving them. For the record, I do NOT support Qwel and the decisions she has made, im not saying that at all. I'm saying that its okay to love, draw, and animate her creations. I do not recommend doing anything that actively supports her as in actually PLAYING her games or purchasing merch as it gives her money. But drawing her characters does not actively support her no matter what u ppl say as it doesn't give her anything to gain (but maybe popularity or Acknowledgment?) You can still love these characters without loving the artist, and that's okay! If you wanna still play games like Dandys World, play Dandys world plus or Animal Hospital. STOP saying its not okay to like or acknowledge these characters as its the Artist you should not love.
Swear in one song variant warning. Hate in the comments, but idc ☺<3
